    Unmounted stamps

Hi there, got a delivery of two magnolia and two alota stamps today - un-mounted with the foam on the back. I thought they would be more 'clingy' than they are - for sticking to my acrylic blocks - so not sure of the best way to use them.

What does everyone else use to get them to stick to your acrylic blocks - I though about a glue stick but would that not get a bit messy over time?

Not done a lot of stamping before so only used to wood mounted and clear stamps.

Your tips would be much appreciated.

    Hi.
I have put my Sarah Kay and Tilda stamps onto Ez mount foam. It's about £3.25 an A4 sheet.I find the stamps stamp a lot better with it too.

If your foam backing is smooth and shiny you should be able to stick this OK to your blocks. You can give both the backing and your block a cleaning if they stop sticking properly.

You can also get an alternative to the Ez Mount foam - it's a sticky sheet (Tack n Peel) that you put on your acrylic blocks instead of the back of your stamp. It's quite expensive to start with but once you've covered your block(s) you're done! I've started using it as it means I no longer have to fight with cutting intricate shapes out of sticky EZ Mount!

I use glue stick for those that don't have any foam on. It does get a little messy after a while but it easily washes off or wipes off with baby wipes.

Have you peeled the backing paper off the EZmount? I didn't realise at first that you had to do that!

Hi there if they are UM with foam on the back sounds like they already have the eazi mount on them, just peel off the white cover & they will stick to your acrlic block.
    hope this helps.

I have tried double sided tape, and glue sticks , but spray mount is easiest.
I had a spell of removing wood from stamps and puting onto Easimount. it's great for using on acrylic blocks but when I wanted to use them with Rockablocks they were too deep, although I think you can get a shallower Easimount.
    Good luck
