I've just ordered the 3 sets of round sentiment stamps and two of the girlie stamps...............will get the others some other time.............they're so gorgeous can't wait to get them. LOTV do come up with some really great designs, hope they'll be at Braintree in Feb(what was Excel) if not I'll have to wait til April and Ally P.

Caz I love the irregularity of your backings, offset multiple layers, and great colour contrasts. What a good eye you have! Great cards. Kiaya

Caz and other stampers, what do you use to do the colouring in? I am not really a stamper and have already discovered wet can make the stamp run - think there's a non run ink I should use? But how do I get that delicate shading? Is that a wet brush trick, like with watercolour? Cheers, Kiaya

I actually use Copics to colour they are alcohol based and you need to stamp with a Memento ink pad. If you want to watercolour you images with watercolour pencils or distress inks or paint you will need to use a Versafine pad and stamp into cold press watercolour paper otherwise the water will shred normal paper and also makes the ink run.
I think the cheapest option to get started is definately watercolour pencils as they are readily available and don't cost the earth...whereas copice/promarkers are a much bigger investment.
What are you currently using?

Thanks Caz, aas an ex-watercolourist I have the pencils and paints but will need to get the Versafine and Memento. I rummaged online last night and came to the conclusion you must be using Copic so I am going to order some today. I can't recall what I have at the moment in pens and I have mislaid my Promarkers which are buried here somewhere, but the stamp inks are dew drops and I tried some last night and they were fine with the pens unless I wanted to do any fading with the wet brush. Not unexpected, but couldn't for the life of me remember which kind of ink I needed to sort that! Now I do, many thanks, Kiaya

These are beautiful Caz.
They promopted me to go and order a bunch of stamps from LOTV and my PC crashed.... maybe it's a sign I should wait till next week when the new stamps are out
