Carol, I started out with just Manga Set 1 which gives about 3 shades for skin tones and 7 other colours inc brown, orange, yellow, green and blue x 2. I got just that and added a few other colours. I don't think you can go wrong buying the sets of 10 for £13.99.

thanks Caz I love all your cards they always look sooo great I was shocked at the £100+ price LOL, don't know why really I spent £75 yesterday and £40 today on various bits and bobs I needed LOL . Do I need to buy any blending tool to go with them?

thanks for talking to me Caz, Carol

Carol, when I first got my set I never had the blender, and made a card with no problems...I still only rarely use one, so in my humble opinion it is not a must have...I would spend the money on another colour instead.

    okay-these are affordable
I bought a 120 set of prismas but we never got on so I got rid-these look amazing though!
right I've got enough cash for a few sets -what colours do I go for for my first time ?The choice is overwhelming -I cannot think straight!
Any advice would be great appreciated !

    Hi ladies

We are just trying to rearrange the pens on the website to make them easier to pick out by colour and a bit more user friendly than having to browse through over a hundred promarkers/sets to find what you want so if you are shopping at the moment sorry if it is a bit hectic and i think quite a few bits are not showing up whilst we are in the midst of this, it should all be sorted by about 11.30pm.
The 5 packs of skin tones/accents are great if you do a lot of people and faces but the manga packs are all designed for comic use so have enough face colours to get by along with a few colours from across the spectrum (I particularly like manga set 1).
The blender pens are a bit like marmite, people either don't bother or buy several at once. I personally don't one but my work is nowhere near the standards of the other ladies on here so .... I guess it is personal choice!
We do our very best to get everything out as soon as possible so, if you are not 100% sure how many you will want and in how many shades then you can always start with a pack or two and then build up when you need (however, I should probably mention that buying the full range at once is great value!!!)

    Hope that helps

Karen, don't bother with Copics...order Letraset ProMarkers from Silly Monkey Crafts....and trust me they are soooo much better than the old felt tip pens you had as a child...they are Alcohol based....and FAB.
