Confusion regarding upgrade

I know this has been beating around the thread for a while but haven't
had time to really check it out because I was on vacation and didn't have
alot of internet access.
I see an upgrade for RM and an upgrade for DM
I live in the U.S., where I purchased my Craft Robo and RM. I purchased
Design Master later.
I looked in graphtec america for the upgrade and don't see it.
I also see that I cannot join the Crafty Club.
Can anyone give me some info on this.

I am tagging along on this one, as I have the same problem. I do not have DM because I am thinking of upgrading my CR to a Pro or maybe the Gazelle so I can cut chipboard.

i cannot help with where you would get an upgrade from but what i can say is, i have been advised to stay with robomaster 2.4 as i sell my designs and this will give me less hassle for the wider cutomer base.

i have also been told that the upgrade didnt really have any upgrades, just bug fix's.

so i would say unless you have had problems with your version of robomaster then dont bother, as i said i am still running 2.4

same applies for designmaster too

I don't know what version you have, but there is an upgrade on Graphtec US for version 4.

When you first open RM there is a small window in the middle it tells you there what version of software you have. I will find the link to download V4.

Or click on the help menu and then About you can also see what version you have on there as well.

I feel a little dense about this.
I looked in the window and have version 4.0.
Probably because I'm still learning the specifics, I don't understand
what this will give me.
To me, I think an upgrade would be an improvement, but I don't want
to add more confusion to this all.
Does that make sense?

Perfect sense. To look at there isn't any difference, but you won't be able to open any templates that have been created in v4.4, you will still be able to open the older templates.

The progam I think just feels better to use, I don't know if it is a little bit faster, it's not anything you can put into words, there are more media choices.

If you feel happier sticking with the version you have now, that is what you should do you can always upgrade later, don't feel pressured.

Good for you, when my dd was about 7 (many years ago) I was in a shop and couldn't decide if I should buy something or not, and she pipes up 'mum if your not sure, don't do it' I have never forgotten that.

I'm waiting too Linda. Can't really see why I should upgrade. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!! If I'm really desperate to have a design made by someone else on v4.4, I'll reconsider, but at the moment, no.
