My robo version is 4.2 and you can all open my files so I think for the time being I don't need 4.4 so headache soothed.

If you read Brians post he has said us selling should stay with 2.4 as everyone can open our templates and if we upgrade they can only open if they have upgraded too

or should i uninstall 4.4 and reinstall 2.4 which i have somewhere?

i had to install the new software by clicking on the multie setup it goes through it twice restart pc and then you should be able to open your files.

Just to clear things up regarding what version will open what...

V4.40 will open files saved in 2.4 and 4.0 but it will not open silhouette files.

We are working on a GSD converter which should convert all GSD files so they can be opened in v4.40. The converter is finished, I just have to clear it through the red tape before it can be released, which should be sometime soon.

As for changes in the v4.40 it is mostly bugfixes and vista compatability, there are no new features. When installing this software, I recommend installing it via the Multisetup icon. I have made sure that doing it this way installs all the needed files in order and it should give a trouble free install.


For those Lady's who sell their designs, I would suggest staying at v2.40 because that will give that maximum compatibility across all software versions.
