Changes to Carmaking forum **PLEASE READ**

We will be expanding the Card forum and adding Subforums for the specific Card types enabling users to more easily find ideas and project examples, this will replace the Sticky threads at the top. Regular general CHAT and discussion will carry on in the forum.

We are changing the way the specific lines are addressed. We will ask that the Chat about specific stamp manufacturers move to the SG chat section. You can begin a group for any line you like, but we will no longer allow the long threads for specific stamp lines in Cardmaking. They are in danger of overtaking the whole forum.

Someone will need to start the Chat thread - and I suggest you make it a PUBLIC chat so anyone interested can reply in it - for any line that is getting multiple threads or even only one huge thread with constant replies. A master list will be kept of the specific card-related groups which will link to these groups from the card forum, as new groups are created please PM Mystik Nat so that the list of links can be kept up-to-date.

What it will LOOK like:

Top - list of Subforums

Birthdays: Milestones, Kids, Girly, Manly
Friendship: Thank you, Thinking of You, Hello, Sympathy
Occasions: New Home, Congratulations, Good Luck
Great Expectations: Pregnancy, Babies, Christenings, Adoption
Love: Engagement, Weddings, Anniversaries
Holidays: Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentine's Day
Invitations and announcements
Miscellaneous: Anything goes
Stash central: Sugar Nellies, Magnolias, and other lines

We will also add a subforum for Challenges and Inspiration, which will be JUST for those things.

The Card Forum will remain more of less the same - ie all threads on all topics in ONE place, displaying UNDER the list of Subforums. If you look at the Craft Robo Templates forum here you will have some idea of how it will look.

As mentioned, chat about specific lines will now take place in social groups. Posts sharing projects created with those lines should be made in the relevant threads under Stash Central.

The disadvantage of this organisation is that anyone looking for a Birthday card won't see all the options without looking in both places. So if you create a birthday card with sugar nellie stamps, then you should post in both the sugar nellie thread under stash central, and the relevant thread under Birthdays.

We will close the Card forum for a day (possibly 2, June 14/15th is the target and we will let you know that week which day it will be, or both if it will take that long) while we sort out the behind the scenes stuff and will let you know when that will be.

We will be deleting the specific line threads so get the SG Chat groups sorted as soon as you can - reply here if you volunteer to create and manage the Group so we don't get three or four popping up.

We will then move the posts from the stickies to the relevant subforums and create new threads under the subforums for the categories mentioned above.

Good question Kevin!! Maybe it's for people to show their cards there too? Does that mean people will be posting cards all over the place?!? Birthdays, Stash Central, SG?!?!

Winnie is right, the SG groups are for ongoing chatting about the stamp lines, while projects using the various stamp lines will go under Stash central.

Are all for sharing projects, not for chatting in or discussing card topics. Discussion on techniques and other card making related topics will continue on the forum. But the long threads of chat about specific stamp lines will now be in the relevant SGs.

Have any more new groups been created? I'm keeping a list of the ones mentioned so far, but we seem to have a number of stamp lines still without SGs. Anyway, please post here with links as they crop up.
