    Tying Bows

I know it has probably been asked before. But has anyone got any tips? Whenever I try to tie a bow for a card it never looks right. I have seen some lovely cards with bows on them.

Please can anyone give me some hints on what I am doing wrong?

If you can google the reef knot you will find instructions on how to tie a length of ribbon in a neat knot. If you want a nice full bow tutorial go to youtube and type in tying bows there are a couple of videos there. Hope this helps

If you go to the bowmaker makers website there is a video there of it in action. Other way is to make 2 loops with the ribbon then tie them in a knot.

I'll have a look on ebay, see if I can find them , I can run to a couple of pound but I don't want to spend too much on something that I won't use that often

I'll have a look on YOu tube later too

    Thank you for your replies

Bows are peesy you just make two bunny ears (loops) with your ribbon and tie them together, perfect bow every time.

If you want a 'different' effect try knoting your ribbon instead of using bows. This can be seen on my blog (penny plack hedgehog and the purfect card), I find them much easier than bows. Also it keeps the card relitively flat if you are mailing it. hth
