Craftrobo can't find registration marks
Hi
I am trying to cut some stickers from some gold metallic film but craftrobo cant find the registration marks. I can print the same job on white film with no problem. I have had a go at printing a grey box behind the registration marks but that didn't work. has anybody had this problem or does anybody have any tips.

I have heard that people have problems with coloured card, depending on the colour, from what you have said I think that metallic card is the same, it is reflecting the light from the optical reader and so it can't see the lines, but this is just an idea I could be wrong.

To get round this problem, could you stick some white labels over the area that the registration marks are printed on before printing. The optical eye might like that better. Hope this helps.

The craftrobo's eye will only find black on white. The only thing you can do is, as LesleyN suggests, stick some white labels or masking tape in the place where the reg marks are being printed. This should allow them to be read.

Problem Solved, Thanks !
Thanks for all your help I stuck some white film over the original registration marks and reprinted the same job ( just the registration mark layer ) and it worked great it was out by 1mm but with a bigger bleed it will look FANTASTIC !!

Marion - mine never can, but if I position the blade in the corner of the reg mark then click 'registration mark reading' it usually finds them first time.
p.s. that was with my old printer, not tried it with the new one yet!

I had terrible trouble for months with mine, then I changed the strength of the lightbulb in my craftroom, of all things. I leave the lid up on the machine, and never had a problem since. Oh and also I feed the CS slightly to the left of the guide line too.

On the subject of registrations marks and not reading them. Some of you might be interested to know that the new 330 craftrobo has a mechanical feed, like the craftrobo lite, so it always feeds the media in to the correct place for reg mark reading.
In all the tests I have done, it makes working with reg marks so much more straight forward because you don't have to look at how far you have fed the media in.

What wattage did you have and what was it changed to, I gave up on print and cut because it wasn't cutting close enough to the image
