    Woodware Square Punches

Hi, does anybody know if there's a size between the blue (2") and the violet (3") Woodware craft punches? I'm looking for a size in-between, which would be 2.5", I guess. Does this size exist, and if so what colour is it?

I've got some pink ones which are about 2.5" from Artbase, not sure if they are woodware or not though.

I don't know if they've changed them but the woodware ones up till recently were measured across the diameter for some strange reason. This means that the 3" one is actually only about 2.5" IYKWIM (if someone remembers pythagoras from high school then they'll be able to work out the exact size lol).

If you don't already own a large woodware one then it might be worth double checking as it might suit you fine.

ETA: Just googled and I think if they are still 3" diameter then they're 2.25" square (Mr Shaw, my old maths teacher would be proud of me lol).

Thanks for all your replies. I should have mentioned that by 3" and 2" I meant the diametre. So I'm looking for the one with 2.5" diametre. I suspect, it might be the pink one, but I'm not sure. The sizing is a bit confusing, I must say, because some sites give you the diametre, while others the actual size of the square but there's no telling which is which. And to confuse the matter even further, some places specify the measurements in centimetres. That's why I thought I could identify them based on the colour instead. I'd better confirm the size with the retailer first - I don't want to end up buying the same one that I already have! Thanks girls.

The pink 2 1/2" Make Me one measures 1.75" square but 2 1/2" from point to point! The 3" Woodware is the same 3" point to point but 2.25" square. I wish they would just tell you the actual bloomin measurement of the cut out!! I mean a 3" square is a far cry from a 2 1/4" one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, by diametre I meant diagonal. (Circles have diametres, squares have diagonals?)

I just had a confirmation email from the company that the Uchida Giga punches actually punch 3" - how cool is that?! Mind you to ship them over here would cost a fortune but if you are going stateside as I am next year, fill up your case!! They only work out about £9 each!

Hi Everyone, just got my Make Me pink square punch in the post and I can confirm that the size fits perfectly between the Woodware violet (3" diagonal) and blue (2" diagonal) punches, so I can now layer my squares neatly. The Make Me punch looks exactly like the Woodware punches, which makes me wonder if it's by the same company or under the same licence? Anyway, I'm just making this entry in case other people search the net in the future looking for information about this. Take care and thanks for all your help.
