Craft Insurance/First Aid Cover required?

On checking out the hire of a room in which to hold monthly Scrapbooking Crops, it appears that Insurance as well as First Aid cover is required. Is this usual? Any input much appreciated.

Not sure in a craft ralated sense, but we do playgroups in various building and i know we have to have independant insurance and a qualified first aider on the premises. hth

Yes, it usually is. As a business I have public liability insurance which covers me for crops, shows and classes away from the business. If there is no one running the crop with this, and the building does not have it then yes, you will need to get your own.

I was just wondering.. would the insurance apply to trade sales.. say for example a stall on a local boot fair if you are a business ??
