    What weight of card?

I know this has probably been asked and answered before by someone but can someone tell me what is the best weight of card to use for stamping images. And where is the best place to buy it

    TIA

The linen card that you can get from the Papermill shop has been mentioned on here quite a few times. But using the back as it's really smooth apparently.

I have a load of card from there, but not any linen! Typical!

You can buy online too if you haven't one near you.

I just use the 160gsm card you can get from Staples. It's about £5 for 250 sheets. I love this because I can also send it throught my printer.

PaperMill does a fabulos really smooth card it is the best for stamping but you cannot buy it online(or at least I don t think so) only in shops As for weight it dosen t really matter if you re only gonna used it for the stamped layer, but of course if you want to use watercolours nothing less than 80 gsm I don t think.

Def, go for a smooth card, if you are wanting to watercolour the image, I like to stamp onto quite a heavy card, 225gms, this will stop the image warping too much if using a lot of water.
For the base card itself, I like to use around 190gms, you need a weight that when it is folded in half, the spine of the card does not crack.
    Hope that helps.
