    Planning a page

I have been 'playing' at scrapbooking for a while but when ever I sit down to try and plan a page my head goes blank so I was just wondering how people start and what they actually do to plan a page. I tend to choose my photo and then play trying different colour combinations and diff embelishments. I am sure my pages would turn out better though if I planned them first! So any help would be much appreciated!

I do different things. In order to be more organised I'm trying to plan LOs in advance.
Sometimes I just get the photos & decide what size then sift through paper & other stash & play til I get what looks OK to me.
Other times I work out how many photos & approx size then go through sketches (I keep all SI & CK mags plus have a couple of Becky Higgins books & a few sketches from other mags too) having found something I'll draw my plan & then look at other ideas to scraplift or try.
I had 100s of mags & took out only the articles that interested me last year. they've been a file for months so new year resolution is to use them - which I am.
Theres always the challenges on here too & those in books like Elsie Flannagan.

Hello Mrs Waddington you can always send a private mesage to Pinkfairy (your adoptive mummy) and she will help you as she is very good and also runs a classes and helps all her newbies really well. She is really helpful so pm her she really won't mind.
