    fibres on cards

when i first started crafting years ago fibres were all the rage and i have loads of them. please could you share any examples where you have used them on a card. the only thing i've done is threaded them through a tag

    thanks, donna

I sometimes use them to wrap around the spine of the card like this:

I havent done it in ages( like you years ago I ve used to use them all the time but then the yummy ribbons came to power ), what i used to do was cover die cut shapes or chipboard you could use now, just put loads of glue onto your shape and then coil the fibers randomly till you completely cover the shape let dry and the trim the edges, you get quite fab looking dimensional embellies especially if you mix coordinating colours on one piece, you can also add metallic thread and a few of the little beads.

I have a couple of examples on my blog where I have put a blossom on to my card with a brad and then wrapped the fibres around from behind so that the fibres stick out from behind the flower.I probably haven,t xplained it well but its on my blog.x
