Using Nestabilities in a Big Shot
Can someone please let me know whether I need an extra mat to use Spellbinder Nestabilities in my Big Shot.
I have just ordered a set, together with an embossing mat, and want to make sure I can use them when they arrive.
Thanks,
Denise

Did you get the multi purpose platform with your bigshot... if not you will need one of these, but they are quite hard to come by nowadays, otherwise you could try taping some black sizzlit adaptors together. Personally I use my white spacer platform that came with my wizard, works a treat, you can buy them from that auction site for about £5.

Thanks for your reply. My Bigshot came with two seperate platforms so I will have a look for the Wizard spacer one.

They should work with those Monica. Shouldn't need anything else, might just need a piece of card for a shim if it doesn't emboss too well!!

Hi Could somebody please advise on the correct sandwich for these dies in the big shot, I used the magnetic mat to hold the dies and have made rather deep indentations in it, is this correct??
thanks

Mega Cardmaker
oooh not sure about this magnetic mat, as I don't have one of these, but I went out and bought myself the Multi-Purpose Platform that you get with the Big Kick for my Big Shot, I put the whole platform in then the acrylic layer, then my nestability and cardstock, another acrylic layer and through it goes. To emboss I just add the tan rubber mat over the cardstock and under the top acrylic layer.
Hope that helps.

Thanks will go and try now, have just ordered the oval set for this month.

Guess whose been to specsavers???
Im struggling!!
i have a Big shot and thoses small black adapter mats that use when I want to use QK dies...but the lines of the black mats are 'denting ' the card stock/paper when Im using my nestability shapes..Ive tried various ways but no luck..now Im chucking the things in the bin..well,almost!!

The edges on those things are raised, I made a plastic shim the correct thickness but have heard other people do it with card or paper shims. Or else carefully take a craft knife and trim the edges of the sizzix adapters

Ali, what you need is the spellbinders "spacer plate replacement mats". These are for the wizard machine but are the same thickness as the black adaptors and big enough for all the nestabilities, you get 2 in a pack for around £5, try the auction site. I know these work as I use them!!

Yep just use your acrylic plates, your thick white plate and the new wizard plate and that will cut them fine..... but then if you want to emboss you need the tan embossing mat too...
