Cards for charity

Hi Girls

I seem to have made loads of cards of late - i do sell lots but i was thinking i would like to donate some to a charity - do any of you do this and where/who do you send them to.

I am on another small craft forum and we send them to local hospices for them to sell to make money at their fetes.They are always received really well

I send mine to my mum who sells them on behalf of St Johns Hospice on the Wirral.

Marie Curie do a fundraising event every year where they ask for cards to be donated - you get special bags for them, from craftshops and hospice / MC shops I think. Docrafts are the organisers for it, it should appear on their website fairly soon

And no, they don't have to have daffodils on them LOL!

It's already on DoCraft website - the bags as mentioned by Eileen only take A6 cards though. They had over a 100,000 cards donated last year. They send them to Marie Curie shops to be sold.I sent them a load last year.

Have you thought about having a coffee morning to sell them, I did this a couple of years ago - well my DD1 did it and I sold my cards and the money raised went to her London Marathon fund for Marie Curie.
