    Sewing Machine Shaped Card

Thank you for setting such a fun challenge Liz, and ladies for all the great files uploaded so far.

    Here is my effort:

It was cut from 250 gsm black card, and the line art was drawn with a Silhouette silver metallic sketch pen. I used thickish white cotton to 'thread' the machine and wound it around the 'cotton reel' and then coloured it with felt pens. I finished the card off with a length of printed ribbon 'stitching'.

SVG, Studio and GSD files are in the zip folder.

    Deco card with lady silhouette

This is a bit of a variation on the deco shape I did for Bobble21 a while back. I've made it taller so that I could incorporate the lady in the centre panel. The silhouette was created by tracing an old family photograph of my late father's cousin which I think would have been taken in the 1920's - she sure was elegant! I've put a feather behind the silhouette to give a bit of interest to the background and it makes quite a nice effect.

By the way I'd just like to thank you for your lovely messages of sympathy on the death of my sis - it is so very very kind of you all and much appreciated
