Things to put in an altered notebook?

I'm doing an altered notebook as a present for a little girls 10th birthday. To be honest I don't know much about kids and its been a while since I was that age! I've done some fancy notebook pages for her to write on but I wanted to fill it up with some decorated pages too. What kind of things could I put on them? I've got the meaning of her name but not sure what other things she'd be into? Any help would be most appreciated as I want to make it a really nice gift for her.

could you not ask someone who knows the girl what sort of things she likes to give you a better idea

I think most 10 year old girls would love some tabs to divide it into smaller sections for friends names and mobile numbers, or just let her designate there use by filling them in herself. You could then decorate the lead page of each section and add some tag pockets with ribbons and paperclips and flowers...

How about her star sign? Its for her birthday.
