Big bricks n mortar shops Suffolk/Essex area ?

Hi

Have been given the day off tomorrow by DH (got three very little ones at home) and would like to go to a large bricks and mortar shop that is up to about an hour/hour and a half away from Ipswich and open tomorrow. I do lots and lots of ordering online with lots of sponsors as I don't get out much (!) but if anyone out there knows of anywhere with a wide range of cool stuff please can you let me know if you get a moment.

Try Ness at Papermaze - she's a proper shop these days - but check her opening times......

The range in Colchester have a huge craft section and good prices too. I think its about a half hour drive from Ipswich.

Our Hornchurch store is easily reached from the A12 and is about 1.5 hours from Ipswich

Sugar and Spice (Sponsor)at Barleylands Craft village near Billericay (just doen the A130) Mega shop, has a little farm attached, restuarant and coffee shop and lots of other craft shops as well.


Marion and Jane from S and S are soooooo friendly they will look after you.

I would say spoil yourself and visit Sugar and Spice (Basildon) and Artbase(Hornchurch)-both fabby shops with a great range of stuff.

There is another craft shop at barleylands (non sponsor so wont say name). Does lots of card making stuff, pergamano, decoupage that sort of stuff. Got some scrapping bits, but mainly papermania/do crafts. The two shops stock totally different stuff, so worth a wander round both.

Ohhh I would go for Ness at Papermaze, it's a brand new shop (haven't made it over there myself yet, but have heard that it is great

As you are near Ipswich already it means you can make the most of your day off with not too much travelling! if you fancy a longer drive though the Artbase hornchurch store is great too though

[Craft for Fun]

I am in Bury St Edmunds.... Not a huge shop but very friendly.... and i am a sponsor so i can be named! Your Touch of Craft! There are 2 other shops in the town none are very big but all very friendly!!!! And only 25 - 30 mins away!

If you do decide to come over make sure you introduce yourself!!!
