Ideas for a new home card.

I don't usually make cards but thought it would be nice to make one for friends of ours who are having a housewarming on Saturday.

Does anyone have a simple idea I could pinch for this - it has to be simple for me to do it before the weekend.

thanks in advance for any advice offered.

I made a simple card that my friend loved. I made a gingham tag with a brad placed through the hole (a little bit of ribbon would work too) attached the tag at an angle on my card.
I then cut out a basic house shape (with little chimney shape)to sit within the tag, this I sat straight on. I then found a little heart button and place this in the centre of the house.
Below the tag I put "God Bless This Home" or New Home or similar would work well.
The finished look was simple but very home spun, have a rummage through your stash and I'm sure you will make a lovely card...no matter what the design.

Thanks for that. I have seen a card which had red gingham ribbon and a heart on it. Have some rustic looking card which would work well I think.

    Will have a play tomorrow.

her's one that I made, (not a very good photo i'm afraid) they look good with the right house number on the door and even the street name on a sign at the side.

    thats really cute louly.

A really simple idea if you are stuck for time and ideas. Get the property paper and cut a house shape out of one of the houses for sale. It actually looks quite effective and with very little cost.
