    Craft Robo II Blade

Just been speaking to someone on Ebay who sells blades. He is keen to manufacture blade for robo but needs an old blade as a template. Can anyone help? Shirley

Well, what I would do if I was him is go out and buy myself a new blade. Although people complain about the high cost of replacements, I'm sure that this is chicken feed compared to the cost of setting up production equipment to manufacture them. However he perhaps ought also to consider whether any patent infringement might be involved - just a thought.

Not sure about the infringement as we can but that other holder. It would be great to find a cheaper supplier though

It depends on whether the other people made a direct copy or their own version, I suppose.

Hi Emptypurse sounds like we might be chasing the same guy! I also emailed an American company as they looked like they were selling the same blade. They haven't got back to me so they can't be very reliable. We will get these cheap blades soon!!!

I bought blade spindles last year from the US
    here
they are OEM and I got 2 for $40.00 ( then). They cut fine and I still have one new one. Between the old Robo and the new one I've got 4 blades which are going to keep me cutting for a long while. On my new Robo I've already cut something like 60 boxes and done numerous experiments and it's still going strong so I reckon 4 blades are going to last me a l-o-n-g time!!

Hi Susibi, They are $47.99 for 2, I have emailed them for shipping costs. Still seems expensive for what they are but it is a step in the right direction. Thanks, Shirley

What got me was that i had to buy the whole set. Pen holder, coloured tops and everything. i only wanted a blade and would rather have not had all the extras

Shirley they are so tiny postage is minimum . I didn't want to have to buy the blade housing as well that is why I bought the spindles. Considering the cost in UK for a blade set is about £22 ( about $35) I don't think that they are that expensive - and they are not something you'll be changing often even with use so two should last you at least a year if not more.

Hi Susibi, can you tell me if you have the older or newer robo. Don't know if blades are same size for both. Shirley

I have both and they are the same spindle - the outside of the blade housing is different but the spindle fits.
