Shall hold my hand up and admit that if I'd been brave enough to put a total in my signature this time last year, then Helen and I would probably be about even

Helen you and dieting really don't go but you are making the rest of us feel very virtuous.
Been to crop today and couldn't resist some mini ric rac that Lianne had got- asked her if she could get it ages ago.Couldn't not have some could I.Grand total of £8 so still doing really well. Also bought some stamps that where been sold in aid of charity so that doesn't count in my book lol.
Got some lovely pp to play with as teaching a class at retreat weekend at beginning of march so it feels like I have new stash.
Stay strong girls it will get easier. Lottery win save half and spend half.

Hey. I figure that at least this diet make me think (a little) before I buy so I don't make as many rash decisions. There have been times that I have even emptied my basket before checkout. Although have to admit I tend to refill it with the necessities!Like that utterly adorable.....

    'Tis frightening isn't it

And what scares me to death is knowing that what I've spent in total this month I could have spent in just one day this time last year -- and regularly did, probably at least once a week

I've subscribed to SI magazine on the bargain deal (see other thread) but am not putting that on my total, 'cause it's cheaper than buying the mags in the shop, which I had allowed myself anyway - anyway it's only £1 for the first three issues, which is hardly worth counting, is it?

Yup, I'd say Helen officially sucks as a stash dieter, but she's making me laugh!!!

I got paid 3 days ago and haven't spent any on stash! I've also got £4 in my real diet money box now....

Thank you! Yes, I think I will save half spend half - that way I can feel slightly virtuous AND get some new yummies Going to attempt to sort out my stuff today, anything that hasn't been used/still in packets will be put into one pile then I WILL USE THEM!!!! I have to stop being so precious about the prettys!

I see nobody is confessing to buying anything today.....I decided to order some prints from photobox, then promptly forgot to put the offer code in (gloss 7x5s at 10p each). So, of course I had to order a few more to get the offer!

LOL julie. Starting the stash diet last year has really helped me get over the ' best save just in case' attitude so stick with it and see how much you get used up.Having a good sort out also makes you find things you had completely forgotten about.I'm going to challenge myself to get some things together that I haven't even opened and do something with them.

Well, i sold loads off the market place so have some money sitting ready for me to spend, but i havent done any today which i think is brilliant for me. Plus my LO's are going up and up so G isnt too worried about me buying new stuff as i am running out of the old stuff.
Its amazing i have never actually run out of a thing until today i ran out of stickers from polar bear press i usually just buy them then get bored of them! Hmm maybe this diet IS working?
