    have been making cards on computer and printing just great

    on photo paper but when i had a new layer and text, it seems to get lost in the picture abit tried a drop shadow not sure that worked well either any advice to help make it stand out more.Or what i might be doing wrong does the shadow need to be darker

    why not try making your shadow lighter! a white 'shadow' can sometimes make it pop out of the picture, it can also work to have a coloured or dark shadow with lighter text, or light text with an outline on.

    Is there a whole verse of text or just a couple of words? If it's just a couple of words you could try the text with an outline that contrasts well with the background or simply change the colour of the text so it reads better.
