18th birthday album - ideas please

I'm making an 18th birthday album for DDs best friend.

Gorgeous papers and album (HOTP vintage 8x8) have arrived! I don't have the photos to copy yet but they are on their way from friend's mum.

What are your experiences of making an album like this? Any ideas, suggestions, hints or tips very welcome!

I made one for my ds of his early years for his 18th, and he loved it. Wasn't even embarressed by the baby pics... lol!
