Idea's and Suggestions?

Well - I am sorry that I wasnt around to welcome you all in the first instance to this fab new forum, but having had troubles for weeks with my PC, DH has built me a new one, and we were getting it installed over the weekend!! Impeccable timing eh?

Anyway - I hope you all like the new forum and from the posts already I can see that you are all excited like I am

I have made a Sticky thread and called it our 'Mini Library' - what I hope to post in here is links to all our favourite Templates websites, any Verse or Sayings websites and this sort of thing. Of course, the one stipulation that allows me to post them is that they are from a FREE website, and that there are no Copyright Issues.

The thread is closed for posting, so is READ ONLY - if you PM me with any links you have, then they can be verified and added. This way we can keep all our valued information in one area

Secondly - Ching is going to do a Weekly Card Challenge, and this will be in a sticky thread which will be posted late Sunday/early Monday each week. The challenge will remain a sticky all week, and we hope that you will post a link to your card in the gallery, in the thread. Once the challenge is finished, it will be unstuck, but a link will be put in the 'Mini Library' thread, so that we can always research and look back for inspiration. Ching is quite happy to do the challenge each week, but is equally happy if anyone else would like to set a challenge or take it in turns - we can see how we go for the time being

If there is anything else you would like me to add, or that you think would be an advantage here - PLEASE let me know

I am around most of the time, perhaps except for Mondays, when that is my day at ScrapaGoGo (aren't I the lucky one )

a separate category in the gallery for cards - unless I'm a dork and couldn't figure it out last night??

ok, brain juices are flowing...

if we are / can get a gallery just for cards, could we have categories within it? Personally, I like to look through galleries for ideas whenever I need to make something.

any others that are major holidays in the UK

birthdays - male child
birthdays - male adult
birthdays - female child
birthdays - female adult

to be honest I've moved mine back out of there, otherwise I can't put them into a 'sub gallery' of my personal gallery -- and I wanted to keep everything else away from my LOs.......

I understand what you're saying Cheryl. I usually like all of my stuff to be in my personal gallery as well, but yet separated away from my layouts. Janice? I like Cheryl's point...can this be done?

could we also put in a petition with the powers that oversee our team points sheets to include cards again?? now that cardmakers have an "official" home maybe we could put similar safeguards for card points in as we have for layouts to make sure that people dont include points for cards that were made for commercial purposes??

or maybe even only allowing us to count the cards made for ching's challenge??

Ohh good idea about the Team Points issue Picxie - I will again enquire and see if they can be incorporated some way

It might be a week or two before I get definitive answers on some of these points as I know that a couple of people are going away on holiday for a few days, but as soon as I know an answer - I'll post back

thank you janice its great to have a card site. as i do more cards than lo's lol could we not do points some how just on the cards i dont know how but the likes of us that only or mostly do cards could get quite a few points so even if the points were just on this site and not the scrapbooking one......... does that make sence lol sorry i am typing this with a stinking bad head so it makes sence to me just hope it comes across the same :-)
