I think one of the craft mags (maybe even a scrapping one) demo'ed this - if it is the same one I seem to remember the article saying something like it took a few goes to get it right and so as a result only got one 'good' stamp from the starter kit, it was a bit pricy but fun and they would be getting more.
Now of course I may have completely got the wrong product in my head so dont hold me to it. and it isnt a personal observation either so maybe no help whatsoever.
rather hurriedly stamped impressions from various stamps I have made attached:
(PS if it was the Simply Stamping article you read, it was me that took a few goes to get it right and only got one good stamp from the starter kit! but the manufacturers sent me a full replacement of all the wasted consumables (and a few more!) so I was perfectly chuffed)

Mmm think I better stop rambling now
Yes you are remembering it right! It was reviewed in SI. There was another thread about it here
I have one and although I was really impressed with the first lot of stamps I made I haven't felt inspired to do any more yet. I almost wish I hadn't bought it but I'm hoping I'll get round to using it again soon.
really Donna? gosh I use mine all the time! I just think it's great that I can be sat there doing a CJ for example, and I'll think "I need a cowboy boot stamp" and within half an hour I've got one in my hands, exactly the size I need!
I think I'm just one of those people who has to have something, uses it once and then stashes it away in the back of a cupboard. My melt pot has only been used twice and I have loads of other stuff that just sits on the shelf in packets. Bet I'm not the only one though.
I have one too and also use mine quite a lot. Sarah is right that you do need to practice a bit first and can waste quite a few of the pac's but the imagepac guys are really nice and gave me loads extra too. I have made loads of alphabets, names and some images - a couple are a bit blurry but I still use them anyway!!
I have one too - I like it for the fact that you can create your own ideas and designs - I wouldn't buy it so I could make something fairly generic like alphabets but I do like making fancy collage stamps. I made a couple of mistakes before I got it right but once you know what you are doing it works pretty well!
I just bought one last week and used it yesterday and I LOVE it ! I'm disappointed that there aren't more pacs in the starter kit as I am going to have to hold off making too many stamps until I can get more (there is only one Aussie distributor as far as I can tell).
Here are my first stamps :
I am not 100% happy with the design because the the fonts look pixelated for some reason (my fault, not the program or the kit). I could see that they looked that way on the film after I had printed but I made the stamps anyway. They are still useable, and it's something I can be mindful of next time.
Text sometimes pixelates in programs I have noticed if you have copied the text from somewhere else.. If I use the test straight from a word processing or design package, it's fine..
