Question about fonts in Inkscape
If I use one of my downloaded fonts in inkscape to make a CR template can the template be used even if the person downloading it does not have that particular font installed on their computer? Hope someone can enlighten me.Ali

You would only have this problem if you made a decorative shape from a single letter of a TTF font using your CR and others didn't have it on their computer so their software didn't recognise it( this happened recently). When you create something in inkscape you are importing a graphic object which the CR reads as such so no problem!

I'm using Inkscape when I save my ding in dxf. it doesn't allow me to now move it as an entire object so that I can duplicate it if I would like to. Is it possible to do this, if so could someone tell me how?

not sure i understand your question properly but you open inkscape and you choose your ding design from your font list.
do you mean you just want a copy of it?
have you done anything to it once you loaded it into your page, ie have you used the break apart comand?
if so make sure its all selected and do path combine that should make it one again you can then do ctrl d to duplicate.
if ive got the wrong end of the stick let me know
