Trying to reverse a title to handcut...?

I hope I am posting this in the right place....

I need to hand cut a title for a layout( SlashHmkBold font), but I cannot for the life of me "flip" the damn thing over so I can print it on the reverse of my cardstock

    Any ideas??

It's days like these I WISH I had a Craft Robo!!

if you do it in word art you can just flip the box.

when I do it I actually go to "file" then "print" and it is in the printer options to print as "mirror image"

    Hope that helps??

Lorraine - I just seem to get lost in WordArt (don't know why) when I click on it, the different styles come up in the boxes, but never a "flip" one. (I know it must be me - sorry!)

OMGosh Tracy...I never knew that option existed, but have just found it and its worked!! Thanks!! Will happily go handcut now whilst my 3 darlings are glued to the TV set and being fed sweets (anything for some scrapping time in the hols!)

    THANKS LADIES

    you're welcome!

I must ask - what kind of knife do you use for handcutting? I've only tried it a couple of times but didn't have much luck!!

i don't get on great with a knife, i use decopage scissors and only use the knife in the middle bits ( its just a craft knife with the blade that snaps off to give you a new one, and i use a kitchen tile as a mat as i don't have a glass one). i'm going to try using the printer options next time, as sometimes my word art flips and next time it won't!

OK, I see the problem, the flipping isn't IN Word Art, it is on the Draw menu, you are creating a graphic image in WordArt rather than text IYSWIM.

Right, you decide on what typeface you want (don't worry about changing the font at this stage as you pick that again in WordArt anyway). Go into WordArt and choose the first style, with just an outline. Type your word

Then, you choose your font and size. Go out of WordArt, resize your words the size you want it, then go to 'Draw', 'Rotate or flip', then flip horizontal. Voila!

    Now you have 2 options!

    YAY!!!!

Thanks Jules...just followed your instructions and now I know 2 ways to flip a title....you girls are too good to me !!!

Tracy - I use my Making Memories scalpel that was included in the tin set. The blade on this is longer and finer than the disposible craft knifes, but I still use my trusty x-cut scissors for the "not so fiddly" bits
