I want to buy some stazon so that I can use my stamps on acrylic. Do I need to get the stazon cleaner and is it OK to use on clear stamps.
I really don't want to ruin my lovely stamps :)

You can use stazon with clear stamps just make sure you clean them straight away. SOrry don't know about stazon cleaner. I use soap and water.
When I am not being completely lazy - I use baby wipes. :)
Thanks you girls, I always have baby wipes in my tote so I'll give them a try :)
Personally, I do not use Stazon or the cleaner on my stamps as it *can* make the stamps go sticky over time, due to the fact that it is a solvent based ink.

I use Stazon every so often, if I want to stamp on something shiny. It's more likely to come off your clear stamps than your rubber stamps in my experience; even if you clean them fairly quickly the red rubber often has some residue on it.
But I don't really mind this. Archival ink does the same thing. And have you seen the state of St Tim's stamps? Lol! They're artist's tools and as such will inevitably get a bit grubby; it doesn't affect the imprint and if you want to sell them on I guess you could give them a quick scrub with the cleaner and see if it helps.
Those of my stamps with the most ink stuck to them, are the ones I love the most!
PS Maybe you have to balance the small risk of 'ruining' the stamps with the occasional application of solvent-based products, against the enjoyment you get from using them to create an item that involves stamping on acrylic!
