:) It's my 2018 mission, use the scraps! I found a box of papers that I had 'rescued' from when I had the Scraporium, some of them have required some stroking and will try and cut some up!
Oh Sarah, I was talking about the pieces of off-cuts that I have, huge boxes of them and dies I've cut and don't get me started on the amount of 12x12 papers I have! Some of them are irreplaceable and so pretty I don't even want to cut into them. Even as a child I was obsessed with paper hence the love of books. I used to just sit and stroke pages in a book I was reading, my mum and dad must have been very worried at times. That said, my dad also had a thing for books and paper so I know where I got it from.
Maybe that should be my one resolution for next year, use up the stash. As Elaine and Ellie would say "There's always Kaisercraft".:)
Here's the baby card I finally finished.

That card is beautiful Susie, well worth the effort :)
Love that patterned paper , so pretty
I thought you said it was nothing special. !!!!!!
Errrm, I think it’s something very special. Something the parents will keep.
It’s lovely.
Also true about Kaisercraft
Ellie
Oh thank you so much. I think when you've been working on something (twice) you perhaps stop seeing it as others might. You've actually seen it before the new parents because we are worried about knocking because they are rather large houses and when you knock it really echoes - worried about waking baby Stella.
Alison the paper is Adorable Scorable lace card. I wasn't a fan but seem to have acquired quite a stock of their card now - like everything else. It does make a good sturdy card base too.
LOL, I've a little stock pile of those little useful boxes, die cuts, scraps. I should go through them more often, but they look pretty from the outside! Genny is a book lover like me, although she has the kindle she does like the 'smell' of a good book :)
That's really pretty :)
Thanks Sarah and yes I know what you mean about the smell, a Kindle doesn't smell quite the same.:)
Susie, that card is beautiful, and very special, thanks for sharing it with us. I'll take some pics of cards I made on Friday and the one I taught 12 ladies to make today tomorrow and put them on here
What a lovely baby card Susie. i do know what you mean by the scraps, I really must do something with all mine :-)

Thank you ladies, they still haven't had the card. I have the gift to go with it but I know they won't be up to visitors just yet so I think I'll drop the card through the letterbox and leave it a few days for the pressie.
Beautiful baby card Susie..really special..
I confess I don't keep a lot of scraps..unless they are in a collection..then I do. If they are large pieces I might.,but otherwise I'm quite good on not hoarding..there always something sparkly that I have my eye on to buy to replace an old scrap! Especially Kasiercraft!
I thought I posted beautiful card Susie
I wish I was nearer your scrapbox Elaine bet I could scrap a year on that !:P
