Making memories slice machine

Hi everyone hope you are all well. I have not been on here for a long time as I stopped scrapbooking but I am slowly getting back into it and encouraging my 8 year old son to do it too. I have a slice machine that has always worked perfectly. However last few times I’ve gone to use it and tried to one the cutting thing it comes up error and will not work at all. Is it fixable (if so does anybody know how I can fix it) or shall I just give up?
