Another late night but I'm going to check out my new magazine now.:)
Having a meander around my 'I have too much paper' pile and some rouge de garance jumped out (a little stock pile I commandered before we closed the Scraporium. it's that old!). The house is from a new SU framelit set). Punched a little heart and stamped (an old 2009 Studio Calico). This is truly old meeting new! I was asked to make some new home cards by a work colleague.

Like the colours Sarah. Simple card and you know immediately what it’s for.
Love the little heart.
Lovely simple card Sarah, just my style :)
Lovely card Sarah, I am a huge fan of blue and green together and I also like that little heart, such a sweet finishing touch.
I have just been putting a card together, not glued yet just laid out. It's funny how these things come about but I want to use watercolour again and I found a design on the internet that I was playing around with, it was blue. Then I noticed it had gold in it too so now I have a card for nobody in particular, just deciding which sentiment to put on and then I'll glue it together and post on here.
I've just got some watercolour inks with my birthday money so I must get a photo of them and post on our snap thread - preferably before I spill them all over myself.:) I need a few more brushes now but I have tried them and they are gorgeous and so lovely to use, better than my paints. I haven't done this in years so it should be fun.
Good luck with the watercolouring Susie. I would love to be able to do that.
Here’s one I did. Light not very good though.
It’s new paper and stamps, with small lettering.

Oh that is so pretty! I love that paper and the sweet flower and leaves at the top of the sentiment which is just lovely. Did you make the flower or is it a bought one Ellie? I actually went "Oooooh" when I saw your card which is always a good sign.
I've just taken a photo of the very simple (for me) card done with the blue border. Not sure if it needs anything else, hubby said leave it alone. I don't know who will get it although I do have a friend who has a birthday in February so it could be for her or it could go away for a time when I need a quick card - we'll see. The border is a new design I found and I just doubled it up to make a frame and the die is an old die from TL.

Thank you Susie.
Do you know, I’ve had this for ages, years in fact. I’ve 3or 4 in a container with some bows, but
couldn’t tell you where I bought them from. Sorry.
I just thought that it went with the blue of the butterfly stamp.
Ellie
Oh that’s lovely. The blue border is gorgeous.
I’m with DH. Leave it alone, it’s perfect .

Thanks Ellie, there are some very talented and extremely generous artists out there who post these designs for free. I will use the watercolour inks for backgrounds and flowers and colouring and anything else I can think of they are so lovely to use and I've just taken a photo of them for the snap challenge as they are new!
Which paper are you using now and we are both really into blue right now. aren't we!:)
Don’t tell her what paper it is , no more enabling :lol:
Ellie your card is just beautiful. Love that butterfly stamp, I won’t ask where it’s form, I must buy anything else !
As you say the blue matches the flower perfectly.
Love your card too Susie, the blue leaf border is gorgeous, and looks fab framing the greeting. The gold goes well with it :)
Sorry, was I using my teacher voice there ?!
