Hello,
Does anyone have any ideas on projects to do to incorporate old greeting cards? I have all my birthday and christmas cards kept from family since I was quite young.
Thanks,
Melody

I saw this this week. http://aliedwards.typepad.com/_a_/20...day-cards.html
I'm sure I remember reading an article in a magazine about storing cards in a specially made mini book. Possibly Jane Dean? Possibly using a BIA? Is anyone with me on this?
I have an aunt who collects all the hand made cards and keeps them in a ring binder folder in those punch pocket things (A4 size clear plastic pockets with holes on one side).
The Ali Edwards layout at the link above inspired me to do something similar with my christmas cards. Although when people send me pictures, I want to display them rather than crop them and scrap them. If people write nice messages I want to keep them too!
I think Shimelle did a book with all her cards and a BIA and stuck some photos in as weel - can't remember where I saw it though. Might it have been in SI?

Many years ago my late aunt made what I think of as "true" scrapbooks using mostly Christmas cards - they were her old school/university hard bound note books filled with pasted in cards and cutouts from cards. The notes books were written in, she'd just pasted everything over the top! I used to love them as a little girl - their boring scuffed dark brown covers opened up onto a real treasure trove and kept me quiet for hours when I visited my grandparents, and I often wonder what happened to them.
