Back Of Tags - Help!!

I'm very new to all of this and this is going to sound like such a stupid question but here goes.

When I've done distressing and playing about with tags, the back/reverse side of them is a total mess lol!! Can anyone share what they do with the back of their tags to tidy them up - the ones that aren't going on a card I mean. I see beautiful tags being made on here and often wonder what the other side looks like......I feel so stupid asking this though! :huh:

If I'm doing mine for a swap on here I just cover the worst of the mess with a slip giving my details.

I know other covers the back with a clean tag of the same size.
