Here is a doily I designed with a frame centre . Use a reasonably new cutting mat. Cut on cheep printer paper its ideal Blue blade thin media setting 29. a couple of bits did nt come out of mine but poked out eaily enough

This frame looks nice cut in green card and a photo in the middle.
Be careful when taking it off the carrier sheet.
Here is a quick one of three sorts of scalloped circles - the rounded one is more flower-like, with deeper scallops than some, the pointy one is more like pinking shears, and the last is a hybrid - pointy scallops!
All three in one GSD, and the inner circles can be deleted if you only want a solid circle rather than a frame.
Tried and Tested!
Pointy and Pinking from a frame in FramesandBordersII font (House of Lime)but autotraced so you don't need to have it installed
Scallop is own design.
As ever I now have to pop over to another machine to zip and upload!
When I started this one, I had the Hambly overlays in mind. I wanted something sort of similar, although obviously not transparent :) I have cut it, and rather like it :)
I think if I did it right I've included the optional center circle in the GSD so you can delete it if you want a solid frame. The GSD is sized for a 12x12 sheet of card, but you can size it down for A4, obviously. A tiny bit of tidying up is needed, esp. the right hand lowest arms of the flourish which don't always "fall" out (maybe a sharper blade or more force?)
From Bodoni ornaments, lower case s, with lots of rotating and some editing :)
I've included the waste frame - I have this idea that you could overlay it over a transparency sheet and paint thru it to get something that is a bit more like the Hably overlays but I haven't tried that yet! Hey, it is still quite early on a Bank Holiday so cut me some slack!!
MaryAnne gave me permission to post the file that I made from her JPEG. It should work for Wishblade users since I traced it using my Wishblade. thecountryrose

I have been fiddling with Inkscape, trying to see if I can learn how to use it by just playing. I wanted to make a scalloped shape, but came up with this shape instead.
I decided to see if it would cut and whether it would be at all useful.
It cuts really well, so I will share it with you and see what you think.
I know it is basic and simple, but I quite pleased, even though it was nothing like what I was trying to do - lol!
I made these for the transparency card that I designed just recently.
Pam
I'm been playing and came up with this. You know I love frames:rolleyes:
Use them separatly or combine them. Choose how you want to cut them by deleting some of them if you want. I don't know how many different frames you can do by deleting and combining parts in the template but there are several.
They always fits in eachother irrespective of how you turn them around.

2 heart frames if anyone can make use of them. Designed in KNK Studio, converted to GSD via Inkscape. If anyone would like the KNK file please pm me.
Janet
Thought I would share these. They would look good as single mats for decoupage or layered up as per my example. I designed and cut my sample from DM but have also converted to a GSD. Very easy to resize to suit your needs.
Created in inkscape, used as a frame for a layout title but I guess it would look nice on a card too.
Thanks for the tutorial by Lucille (frames using dingbats and shapes) VERY helpful and VERY clear (had to be, I got it to work!)
Here you go Ruthan. Hope you like them and hope you don't mind that I copied the pattern of your lace in the second one.

Another two frames :D
I can't figure out how on earth I am going to have time to use them all. Hope you do!
Monica
These frames are a little bit different from what I have done before but I hope you like them anyway.

Yet another one...
Enjoy

I tried to make a frame that looks like a crochet doily but I don't know if I can call them frames. There is not so much space to put a picture on :D. I hope they are useful anyway.

This time I have made two different flower frames and some toppers.
Some swirly frames will be next.
:thanks:
Monica
This time I have put some swirls together. Be careful when lifting it of the carrier sheet. Hope you like it.

And one more...

Here is some round frames in three different models. You can see the last one below this message.
Monica
Time for some other frames or toppers or whatever you like to call them
Hope you like them.

More frames and toppers. Hope you like them.

Hearts in a frame this time
I haven't cut this yet but it should be ok
It was a while since last time I uploaded some files, but here is a couple of new frames anyway. Hope you like them.
Monica
These frames you can cut quite small if you want. I have made several different shapes with these and will post more of them later.
Monica
Hope this is of any use. Maybe as a topper on a card or so. I made it just for fun.:)
:thanks:

I've just been playing around with something I read a while ago and thought it was quite pretty and would be nice on a LO as a frame for a photo or as a journaling block.
This mat is a result of some of the "fiddling" I did when I was designing the broderie anglais card so I thought I might as well put it in the templates in case anyone can make use of it. Converted via the pdf method.

It cuts fine at 5"x5". I think there might be a problem if it was cut any smaller so it would probably be better used for a cut out or topper for an A4 card
Here's another one wit a mat. I haven't cut this one but it should be ok
Here's my first one
Some lovely files here on the first day! Here is my first entry - it is intended as a scrapbook frame although it could easily be made smaller for a card.

Not sure if this counts, I think it does, but not very good at doing frames so used a font which is Ipsnowflake - capital letter B.
It has a base mat which cuts great and a top decorative layer which cuts great but is very delicate.
Also added the same frame but with a circle around it so it can be cut out of a card blank if you delete the outer circle instead of using as a topper.
A simple frame but may be useful to someone
Another simple one
Another one from me if anyone can use it
Line art faux satin stitch frame, designed in Inkscape. The template's orange lines need to be drawn with gel pens first before sending to cut.
There are some gorgeous frames on here now - Sharon I love your ballerinas and Joyce your faux satin stitch is so realistic - at first glance I honestly thought you'd been up all night embroidering it!!
I've done a couple of star frames (thinking about Christmas - how sad is that?). Care is needed lifting these off the carrier sheet 'cos they're a bit delicate

Similar design to the square frame but round this time
