Ok now I've tried everything except an image! Welded word, numbers and letters in frames.
I cut in gold card and they came out well - an idea for those of you who sell your die cuts - these are quick to make and very effective especially with a font like Black Rose.

Not an inset, separate the colours before cutting.
Coax the letters to stand up as you fold along the dashed line.

A quick but effective card. Cut and fold A4 card, attach an inner sheet and you have a birthday card in under 15 minutes.
Made this in DM and it was a file that did not want to behave. If you use the GRA template keep the flowers a different colour to the rest of the mat or they will disappear, don't ask me why because I have no idea :wacko:
I did not attempt to put the middles of the small letters in far to fiddly. I have included a backing mat to be cut in a contrast colour. I have cut both the GRA and the GSD and they were both fine

Same theme as the Anniversary one I did. Used my new Swiss dots Cuttlebug folder too - I'm going to wear it out if I'm not careful !!

Here is another 3 layered card topper – very quick to assemble and great for last minute cards. Designed as an ‘iced cake’, but could be used as a scalloped frame if the ‘iced’ Happy Birthday text cutlines are removed. ;)

First of all I would like to thank everyone for their very kind messages of sympathy - I appreciate it so much and knowing so many of you have gone through the same sadness and must know exactly how we feel is somehow comforting.
I have now managed to do a conversion to GSD - it's not perfect but not too bad (I do wish someone would come up with an easier way to do this) I have cut the 2 lacy mats from the GSD file and I think the rest of it should be OK

I have been playing with Lucille's Inkscape Clone Tool Tutorial (:thanks:) and tried it using the images I made for the flippix card. I thought the result would look good as a card topper. The font is Challenge (of course). :D
Because the GSD file was so large, I have only uploaded the zipped jpeg images ready to be autotraced in RM.

Been trying to do a card for my Brother's birthday and wanted these words inside. The eyes are supposed to looked shocked, but unfortunately they just look normal, but I think it looks ok.
Hope it can be of use to someone. :)
I think the second set/file 'maybe' look a little more shocked.
A very simple, but quite effective, card. Could be suitable for a man in the right colours. Can be re-sized. Font is Storybook.
I did this the first day I downloaded the software .. Not rocket science but someone may use.:D

As requested here is a Happy Birthday Circle with the centre left empty so you can weld anything to the middle.

i asked yesterday for help doing birthday rings, and lucille provided the answer, but while i was waiting for the answer i found a live action tut on a site. and it was for the silouette. i have been trying to do this all morning and i think ive done it. i have cut them out and to me they seem ok. hope you can use these.

Here is another birthday circle, the last one bugged me that the word Birthday is upside down. It's been an enjoyable learning experience with Studio to make this.
I've written up my findings and uploaded into the Studio Basics Tutorial sub folder.
Again the middle is ready to weld anything you want to it.
I've just added an extra file with a loop so it can be used as a dangle or charm.
One of my nieces has a birthday at the end of the month and this is the card I designed for her. It is quite an intricate design and will need careful lifting from the carrier sheet.
This topper is made from simple birthday shapes arranged in a circle. I hope it might prove useful. :mellow:
