Was just coming on to let everyone know but you beat me to it Doreen. :)
Has your versions of beta silhouette studio 4 updated to the full version yet? Only someone on facebook just said hers updated to the full version yesterday.
As far as I know it's always been the full version
Earlier this week Melissa on Silhouette School Blog said that she thought it would be out of beta this week. I notice that the latest update now has a full instruction manual instead of just the four pages it has been including, so it won't be far away. Have to say I quite like the new version. Thought I wasn't going to like the floating panels but am getting used to them now and I also find the trace a lot better as well.
Lol Doreen i have no idea what she is talking about then.
This is what she is saying
My Beta version of Silhouette Studio 4 just updated to the Full Version Yesterday!
I'm not sure. I just know that when I opened the program yesterday, it downloaded and installed the Full version of Silhouette Studio 4 for me.
I guess you could choose not to, but I let it go ahead and do it.
When I opened the program, it started it's own thing. I didn't go to the site to get it.
It says "Silhouette Studio Business Edition Release 4.0.618ssbe"
It no longer has the splash screen that you have to click on accepting the "Beta" version, it just goes straight to opening the program like the older versions.
Business Edition doesn't look much diferent Doreen as I've been given a copy. Our Beta testing group haven't been told it's properly out of beta yet but it should be soon as I believe it's the Silhouette Sumit in Hawaii shortly and I imagine it's the sort of thing they would want to launch there. I notice the latest download says 'beta' as opposed to 'open beta' which the other versions said - no idea what the difference is but the splash screen has gone.
Version 4.0.623 is no longer beta and it's available here https://www.silhouetteamerica.com/software#update
I went for it, had a small play around with it, seems good so far. I will have a proper play tomorrow and maybe try out the bluetooth with it as well.
Seems more stable than the one i was using so far ;)
