ooooh dont put your name on the backs ladies -- yeeeeks, im sticking it in a massive paper bag book - perhaps make a tag to slip in with it or write a wee note and i'll tuck it in the "bag" bit.
you are all so lovely.
makes me want to cry my eyes out :(
I would love to help. Is there a time limit cos I'm off away tomorrow till nest Tuesday so won;t be able to do anything till after that.
Nooo problemo for lovely Joanne! You are fab for thinking of such a great idea! Take a bow! :) Fab Kirsty! Will PM you. Ell. x (Welly)
I'd love to contribute to this as well. It will really lift her.
can i ask gently that perhaps you might steer away from any religious notions?. not that she would freak out but I think it would be much nicer if the theme for the book had a tilt towards celebrating life, all things wonderful and magic. I dont think we should scare her about meeting thy maker etc!!!!
When I saw Jo the other week with Sarah (from sarahs cards) she was so upbeat about her suffering and i think if we can keep her spirits up - then we are comforting her in some helpful way xx
Im not against religion in any shape or form but let this wonderful woman be delighted with your views on our sometimes wonderful life xx
thank you ladies xx
I had thought that about my idea & had since decided against it. Will have to get my thinking cap on...
Sonia
Would love to contribute, have sent a pm to you.
What a lovely idea.
Mel
Can anyone throw any ideas into the ring as of the type of pages to do.
I'm sure this will help a few people decide on themes for pages.
TIA
Sonia
im doing a page with the lyrics to "what a wonderful wolrd" by lou armstrong
My mum (who doesnt even scrap) is doing a page with the words to "all things bright and beautiful"
Quotes on happy thoughts, fun, stories of children making you laugh, the things kids say, humour (but not like really toiletty jokes ;)), use your brightest cardstock and papers - so when she opens the book - light will literally fall out of it xx
I've PMed you too.
Ive done one from the words of the Madonna Song 'Dear Jessie' because it has such nice happy things in the verses :)
aaaaw suzy, i love that song too xx
i dont know joanne but i'd love to take part here.....and i hope she gets well soon and comes back online!
I personally wasn't going to do anything overtly religious - from the spiritual sense as I don't think it's ever appropriate but from an individual's own point-of-view (within themselves) as they choose or not. Although I understand where you're coming from - my faith isn't something sad or dark - it's all about loving one another and celebrating life. Such as the words to "all things bright and beautiful"… amongst others.
I've been through some sad and tough times and it's what's given me strength - but it's personal to me, not a belief I would force on anyone else... apart from giving my kindness, love, hugs, and smiles. I see it as something positive that will help me make this page special - not the content maybe, but the construction IYKWIM. This idea of us all making a book is about what life is in itself - your special idea is something that expresses kindness and love and I think that's fab!
:) I'm taking inspiration from the lovely colours in the world (nature) around us... plus help from a bit of tissue paper!
