Well you kind people are you ready for this have just received a cheque for the full amount accompanied by a not very nice letter but I expected that, for me just to say thankyou to all the people that backed me up and encouraged me to keep going seems inadequate and if I could thankyou all personally I would, to others that are still struggling keep going and with the continued help from all the kind people on here you will succeed because I know without the help and advise that has been given to me on here I would not have succeeded so once again my heartfelt thanks Love Pippa

It would appear that the efforts of Trading Standards and the numerous posts on this forum, and on others, have concentrated the sellers mind.
No one should ever be treated in the way that you have and the fact that you have received an ungracious letter will not surprise anyone who has followed this post.
Very well done for following the law of the land and for standing up to what must have been an intimidating experience.
There are professional and principled traders out there who deserve our support and I will continue to support those who treat the customer with courtesy and respect their customers confidentiality.

I am delighted to read that Pippa has received a refund. I am also pleased that Andy Pandy has obviously also resolved his/her problems. I just hope that the same can be achieved for my Mum, who at 81, is genuinely distressed by the whole issue x

I have been following your thread with great interest Pippa and am so glad to hear that at long last you have received your refund. It is such a shame that it was accompanied by a distasteful letter. I do hope that DeBeC's mother gets her refund without all the hassle that Pippa has had.

Very well done as I know some of the messages you have had to suffer so am over the moon you have satisfaction and will never have to deal with that retailer again.
Hope the other buyers with the same problems with this machine get theirs sorted as well.

I'm so glad you finally got your refund Pippa, but I would like to thank you for bringing this out in the open - I was seriously considering buying one of these machines, but held back as I hadn't heard anything about it. Now it seems many people have had problems and it's not the all singing all dancing piece of equipment it claims to be! I have now bought a Big Shot after reading so many rave reviews - the proof of the pudding really is in the eating isn't it!

So pleased to hear you finally got your refund Pippa. Well done you for fighting your corner. Bad service and faulty goods should always be considered unacceptable. After all, that's why we have trading standards and the legal protection we do.

Not fit for purpose under the sale of goods act has never been more applicable I wouldn't have thought!!
