General use paper

Hi

I am thinking of buying the Create and Craft Paper solutions paper which is 12GSM. I want a paper that is a good all rounder for decoupage, cd rom print offs, stamping for use with promarker/spectrum noir pens, envelopes and inserts. Now whilst I have read that this is good for all of this, I have also read that it is not good to use with silicone gel for decoupage as it shows through. Has anyone had any experience with this paper please or could anyone give me some advice on what paper is a good all rounder?
