Sorry if this has been asked before,
I bought a few polymer stamps but when I stamp with them the ink seems to 'spread' and appear a bit blurry.
Any ideas what I can do about it please or is this just the way they are?
Thanks

Hi there!
What make are the stamps and are they definitely made with photopolymer and not acrylic?
Which ink are you using also?
The ink shouldn't spread, you should get nice crisp images.
Helen.
Don't press too hard....
They are Hobbycraft own brand ones and I'm using memento ink.
I'm not pressing hard
Hi again, I'm afraid it must just be down to poor quality stamps. We use the best photopolymer available to make our stamps, they are really thick, and we have never had a complaint about ink spreading. You get a crisp image every time. Hope this helps. Helen.
Have you tried 'treating' the stamps ?
Sometimes a lot of stamps have a 'residue' from the machine that they've been made in. Treatments differ, but I start off with patting the stamp with cellotape until the stamp is clear, and then giving it a quick dip in some gentle Johnsons baby shampoo .. rinse off and dry.
Give it a try, and lets know how you get on . xx
