No basic shape primas allowed. This swap is for anyone who'd like to get a collection of Prima Hydrangeas and Daisies. Each member buy one bottle of flowers to divide equally into 10 bags.

Please let me know what you're buying (including colour, size and type) so I can keep everyone different! Label them with your UKScrappers name and your group number, and then send them to me. I'll do the rest (although it would be really helpful if you could include a label with your name and address!).

I'll do 3 groups of 10, if there's enough demand and that way I can split up any duplicate themes.

Completion By:
Send by 10th April to allow me to send out the following week. Please note I cannot send after this due to holidays.

i think deb will be happy whatever we get as long as it is not the normal primas... i've got a bit of a prima collection... lol... and have got hydrangeas in about 5 different packages all slightly different sizes and all definatly prima hydrangeas.... i think the daisies are more standard... but that's just a guess knowing prima any thing could be out there... (must admit i've never seen the daisies from the dumpy bottle in real life...)

Oooh I think I would like to join this one! I always catch swaps when they are already full! ****whispers**** I only own about 15 prima flowers I got in a swap:o :unsure: But will hopefully rectify that today as I am going to First Class Crafts open day:D So if they have any flowers left then I would love to join in, probably with blue or green daisies.

have taken a piccie of some of my hydrangeas for size - contents comparison....

the empty large container (the ones i've just bagged up for this swap) are all one size - available at jillybeans i had 94 so i am keeping the stray 4 and sending 9 per bag...

the next plastic container contain two sizes of flower... (the big one is very slightly smaller than the ones i am sending...)

the tin contains two sizes the small is smaller than the ones in the plastic container....

finally the bright red one is the type you get in the small square bottles... 9they have names like luscious and hot tropix... etc...

hope that helps... (oh and the ones i am sedning have the small plastic stamen none of the others do...)

louise if you are really worried about what colour yours are you could ask someone who also owns a shop like maffiebaby... whan i had a query once she looked at the prima supply list for me.... (ie see if prima do supply both copper and peach....) er not that i am obsessed by primas or have far too many of the things or anything like that...

Right guys, the good news : my primas have arrived!!! The bad news : I'm not sure if I have got this right, as there were 51 in one pot and 52 in the other, and some of you are getting 100 in yours, right? I don't want to look tight only sending you 5 blossoms each. Have I got the wrong things, or is 50-ish normal for a copper top jar, or what?

In the daisy pots there are about 100 blossoms, but maybe the hydrangeas are different- I think they are quite a bit bigger so that will probably be why :)

annie back on post number 50 of this thread i put a thumbnail of some of the different packaging for hydrangeas etc... the packs with 100 in are quite long... (longer than it probably looks in the piccie...) but they are about the same price... but they all feel different too... personally i think the ones from the tin can feel nicest... you will see what i mean if you get quite a variety of types back from the swap...
as to numbers it does seem to vary... the last time i used the long box type of prima for a swap i remember there were 101 in there so i got a spare 1 and 10 each for the swap... but this packet had 94 in....

I must admit until this swap when I bought a tin, I had only ever had the long boxes from Jillybeans, so wouldn't have had a clue how many in the various containers - and the prices are all much of a muchness, so there are no clues there. As has already been said, we have all spent about the same so I know I will be happy whatever I get back! I just want them all, and I want them now! Though I am going to have to get someone to prise my envelope out of my hand to put in the postbox!

Although saying that i am intrigued that one of my jars had the lid removed on arrival (in the jiffy bag) and the flowers were everywhere - you'd have thought the amnufacturer would seal them ;). Hi guys

Thank you so much for all of your kind words, thoughts and nice text messages.

I am back on the mend... have had a very rough few days...had a cold which turned into a bad case of the flu (the real Mccoy!) which then sparked a chest infection which made me have a very very bad asthma attack... so i've been a poorly girl.

Its been very difficult trying to start my new job and feeling very sick... some days I could only manage a few hours at work but felt like I had to show willing if you know what I mean.

I cant belive its been such a long time since I logged on....I have not checked UKS at all, my ebay stuff has come to a halt, done no scrapping at all....

Anyway now I am on the mend I will be answering all of my PM's and updating the front page probably tomorrow evening.

I sincerely apologise for my lack of communication, for those of you who know me, you will know its so unlike me not to have been posting on UKS.

You need to go into your post office and ask for a claim form for a missing parcel you can then take it from there.

I dont mind who has recorded delivery and who opts for regular mail as long as I know whats what I dont mind... :P

I personally dont know how much a recorded delivery charge is... but scrappy said 65p which sounds realistic.. if someone wants to find out and post on here that would be fine with me.

Please PM me to let me know if you are opting for the recorded delivery option... that way, when I am home, I dont have to search through the thread or try to figure out who's cheque matches up to who... etc...

I'm so sorry this thread is not done now... I kinda wish I had not started it before I went away... all of the other swaps I have hosted have gone so smoothly... I think this may well be my last for a while... dam the RM they dont know how much trouble they cause us scrappers do they!!!!

Deb, you was online yesterday, could you not have addressed the questions here asking if you have sent out yet? I see from another post of yours that you posted a cj on weds, could you not have popped our blossoms out at the same time? I think we have all been fair in waiting for these to materialise, but now I think you need to get them out to us...especially as we have paid for recorded del too and you have already said you have received all the envelopes you were waiting for....earlier on in the swap you said that you did not want to host another swap after this...I have to be honest, I really don't think I would want to take part in another one( no matter who was hosting)...this has really put me off! Sorry, but that had to be said!

is it right that the host of a swap asks one of us to rate her and the host rates all of us? I was in the birthday swap where we were asked to rate our partner but we weren't all rated by the host, that's not right is it?

Already pm'ed her:D Ali in most swaps thats the way its done but in some swaps where you send to partners you usually rate the person that sent to you and the host would then just rate the person who sent to her.

if i was in this swop and had been waiting for my flowers to arrive since april 10th..and had recieved litle or no information as to why they had not yet arrived i would be more than a litle fustrated-and i can only applaud the patience and dignity with which the swoppees are waiting-i would find it hard to be this tolerant-thats my personal opinion-no one elses.if things go haywire with swops or circle journals it is only polite to keep the participants well informed of any hiccups and the probable outcome-

I appreciate it is only a few primas and Debs has been having problems, but I think the problems are being addressed now but started arising some 5 or 6 weeks ago when it came to light that not all the primas had been received. Now we know there are problems hopefully we can be sympathetic, but it has been frustrating to see questions being blatently ignored from the beginning. At the end of the day it has happened, and hopefully is now sorted. Nobody has meant to cause any offence.

Don't forget some primas were sent a month late so it's not all Deb's fault, she did try and get them all sent to her by the time she went away.
They've been sent now so we can look forward to them now :)
