Each person will need to buy 10 metres of rik rak and cut it into 10 one metre lengths. You can choose whichever size or colour rik rak you like as long as no one else in the group has chosen the same (post on this thread when you know your colour/size). Please put the rik rak into bags or on card and send all 10 lengths to me with return postage and an address label.

I will run up to 4 groups of 10 if enough demand.

Completion By:
Send by 15th April 2006 for completion on 20th April 2006 (or as soon as each group is received)

Welcome to another rik rak swap. I can't get enough rik rak at the moment so thought I'd run my own swap to get lots of lovely rik rak :lol:

The usual rules apply: buy 10m (any colour or size, as long as that combination hasn't already been chosen for all 4 groups), split into 1m lengths, put into baggies or whatever you can, post all 10m to me. Please include a return envelope or address slip, your UKS name and return postage (don't forget the price increase on 3rd April (http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?mediaId=22900488&catId=400144) so better to use "1st" or "2nd" labelled stamps if possible). When each group comes in, I will then send you back 10 different 1m of rik rak, one of which will be your own.

The groups may be changed as we go along to ensure a mix of colours :)

This is my first swap as host so if I get things wrong or miss people out, just let me know. I am going to work on a first come, first served, you can be in as many groups as you want (but no more than 2 with the same colour) basis - I hope that will be okay with everyone.

I go on holiday on 20th April (but I will be able to get to the post office on that day!), returning 2nd May so if there are any delays in getting the rik rak to me, I won't be able to post delayed groups until 3rd May. Sorry I've not been posting too much but I have a cold so am just feeling sorry for myself at the moment :lol:

Really excited about hosting this swap, thank-you all for joining in. Sounds like a lovely mix of colours already. I think this will be lots of fun :D

Huge apologies to jqp for not answering the PM - but I was going to suggest posting here to see what the others in the group wanted. I'm drawn to jade but then I have the luxury of being in all 4 groups so have white covered :lol: So I think the group should decide.

I rated you when Group 2 & 3 completed :) I've rated everyone who sent in the rik rak as you've done your bit so have earned the rating :) Also, I don't fancy doing loads of ratings at the last minute :lol:

My current plan is to send out everything that I have by Thursday and then post on any missing lots after I'm back as it's not really fair to ask everyone to wait another two weeks (and can't ask our "housesitter" to do it really :lol: ) and with post bank holiday post, things might not arrive on time. Hope that will be okay with everyone.

I seem to have a rating - thank-you wedding_belle. Don't forget I should only be rated once for the swap :)

Please don't worry about sending on the late ones to me though as its not fair that you should be out of pocket. I'm more than happy to have a slightly smaller selection and as I'm in 2 groups I'll probably still have more than I can ever use lol.

No :( Have had the post today too :( I'm afraid I won't be able to update until I'm back now as I have to rush off. Hopefully it just got caught up in bank holiday post, we haven't had much come through in the last couple of days.

I'm posting what rik rak I have now, and will next update on 3rd May - please carry on posting here when you receive your packages, and let me know if they don't arrive.

Hello, got my lovely rikrac, thanks to everyone who was in the same groups as me. off to stroke them all now. :D

Am back but v tired so sorry if I don't make sense. Have ruth's rik rak so will get that sorted soon.

Unfortunately that's two lots of rik rak that seem to be lost in the post - not sure what the process is for this, does anyone know?

If the missing rik rak people (sorry, can't remember the names at the moment!) have a proof of posting, can you start to chase the post office for compensation? I think you should be able to claim the value up to £32?

Will PM later when my brain is working - probably tomorrow!
