Can anyone read what is in the last column for Samuel Downes here http://content.ancestry.co.uk/Browse/view.aspx?dbid=7572&path=Durham.Darlington.ALL.30.32&rc=&zp=75 If you can't follow the link it's Samuel Downes living in darlington in the 1881 census. I can't see how he was deaf, blind, lunatic etc as he was married in 1882 and was working as a railway fitter and have no idea what else was supposed to go in that column, I know he couldn't write as he signed his marriage certificate with an X.

I agree with Kate. It says Dorsit (sic) , say it with a west country accent and Dorset sounds like Dorsit :D
