I was just having a surf on the WWW and found a picture of one of those dolls that you print and decorate.
http://www.ruthannzaroff.com/mirkwooddesigns/paperdoll.htm
http://www.houseofstirfry.com/chia/templates/chiadoll2.html
I used to love it as a young girl when I got my weekly magazine, Bunty, I think it was, and spent the rest of the week making new clothes for the paper doll.
So, I wondered if anyone would fancy doing a circle doll dressing thing.
We are now full:
Thanks,
Sue
I have a circle journal just about to start called dressing up which is the exact same thing, I'm looking forward to seeing some of the 'costmes'

Hi Jane.
Is it book journal or just a cut out doll that you are going to dress?
If it is just the doll, can I sign up please?
Just tell me where to go.
Hugs,
Sue
Sue, sorry, it's one I'm already in and full, we post on Monday. I am the only one doing dress up, the others all have different subjects. It's a circle journal but will have art dolls on each secion from the different people taking part. Hopefully it will be a mix from dressed up dolls to made up dolls with different 'bits' for body parts.

That sounds like it could be very interesting! It was only yesterday that whilst in a charity shop i came across a cd-rom dedicated to designing clothes and dolls for this sort of thing and it took me back to the days when i was a little girl making my own dolls and clothes-i used to love making punks!!!
So yes i would be interested in your me doll circle-sounds good fun.
Anyone else??
I would enjoy this too but I'm a bit snowed under at the moment, and not just literally, so may have to pass. If it takes a while to organise and there's a reasonable gap between postings I could do it.

That's a shame Jane. It sounds like fun, so enjoy it.
Iggywiggy and Janet, if I have a couple more people that are interested, I will organise it on the Swap threads.

Question.
D we pass around the doll around & create clothing for her on her or articles that you would later can play with and change?
Or are we just copy say 10 templates create one that has your theme funky fresh?
Because I'm keen on this ATC.

Hi,
Sorry, I've not been back for a few days.
I'm going to do this swap so I will send a PM to get it approved as soon as I've finished this post.
I thought that we could each print out or draw our own doll. I am going to put my own face on mine, but you could put any face that you wanted, a photograph or just drawn on.
Then we would make one set of clothes, plus accessories if wanted and send the doll around the same as a circle journal.
Then the doll will come back at the end with lots of new clothes.

I love this idea!!! I used to spend hours and hours and hours doing this, and used to get Bunty just for the doll on the back!! Just think how the doll would look framed along with all her outfits!! I would love to join too if it gets up and running, I would probably use one of the templates you have given, (draw??whats that! lol) Now just need to find all my craft stuff under the builders rubble :(
