Never had a go at doing one of these before - not too good at altering but love it!!

So decided to make this for my 9 years old neice Annie, who loves singing and drama so thought it would be good to keep her music/lines on. Hope she like it!!!

Used 7gypsies papers for the main ribboned bit and some k&co floral bits and some odds and ends of pink paper and music paper. Basic Grey used for her initials and some quotes I had saying:
What you give you get ten times over
All things good to know are difficult to learn
By asking for the impossible, obtain the best possible
The heart that loves is always young
Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart
Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere

So there we go.....!!!! Sorry you have to turn your head to the right to look at it!!!!

Margie, that is gorgeous, it is the nicest clipboard I have seen.

It makes me want to start altering one for myself.

I love everything about it.

What a lucky niece you have, I'm sure she will be delighted.

Hugs,

Sue

Ah thanks Patty and Sue thats very kind!

I really enjoyed making it - now I just need to buy some more clipboards - Im thinking of using my Basic grey Couture for one (I just keep sitting there stroking it at the mo so dont think Ill ever use it on a LO :) :) )

I've just spotted this, it's lovely. I haven't done one before, but I got a little one in poundland a few months back with some stationery stuff in it. They did blue or black. Not sure if they still have them now as I was going to get some more. Will end up with loads of pairs of scissors, staplers, pencils, rulers, pencil sharpeners too though! lol
I want to cover the one I have for DF to put up at work and keep pictures of the kids on, he can then keep updating them. Wasn't really sure where to start.

This is lovely! I'm about to do one to cheer me at work in meetings and I'm going to scraplift your idea!! It's lovely. I thought you were an expert alterer(is there such a word!!?) 'til I read your post through properly!!

Hey, what a lovely idea! I've not come acoss this one before - you've made my fingers itch to have a go. Trouble is I live in a village where you don't find anything like a clipboard. I'll just have to wait until I can get into WHSmiths or Poundland.
