Hi,
Sorry for the delay in adding to this thread but out of town at the moment.
On the list so far are:-
Me
Flo_and_Co
Nona
Doogle007
There are 6 spaces left now.............If interested please PM me.
The only thing that I will ask is that if everyone could keep to a max size of 8 and half by 8 and half please, otherwise postage can get out of hand.
I've had one once where i had to pay nearly £9-00 to send it.........So I thought to be fair it's best to set a maxium size.
Need to get my thinking cap on now for a theme.
Many thanks!
Love Angie...........xx.......... :)

Scrapbook Fairy- My Favourite Disney Things
Treenie- All Things Eeyore
Maggiemae- Disneys Best Kept secrets
Mum2a16yrold- Charaters and Stories Of Hundred Acre Wood
Doogle007- Favourite Disney Movies
Nona- It All Started With A Mouse
Mrs Mac- Following The Leader
Gemster- Dream Come True ( Which Princess Would You Be?)
RuthRoberts- The Magical Music Of Disney
Flo and Co- Disney Magic[/COLOR]
Hi all
A theme now thats going to get me thinking - there are so many to choose.
Would anyone mind if I went with the theme 'it all started with a mouse' and have Mickey as my theme. (was going to go with Walt quotes but you guys might not be that into disney history).
Sorry to take the obvious one.
If anyone has a problem let me know.
£9 to post??!!! eeek!!!
I usually work with smallish books anyway - 6x6 or 7x5, that sort of size - so no worries there
I was leaning to a Mickey theme too, but I'll think of something else.
(anything except Disney Princesses...)
Really looking forward to this one :D

I can't wait I love Disney...can my theme be favourite Disney film...Let's go to the Movies...Thanks Angie for hosting the CJ :)
I've been humming and harring about a theme - can I just go with 'Disney Magic' - nice and vague - you can each tell me what you find most magical about Walt's World....
and if you need to get in the mood, I bet you can't look at this pic without getting all swoony - I can't! (my fave pic from our last trip - I'm yet to scrapbook it - I'm trying to think how to really do it justice....)

Woohoo! Thanks Angie ... was so worried there might not be space left for some reason
Have an inkling of an idea brewing, just need to mull it over for a bit then hopefully I'll know what I'm doing.
That's a beautiful photograph Sarah, I really must get round to working out how to use my camera in the dark :)

I am vaguely interested in this but probably won't join due to finances, but I was interested to know how much does it usually cost to send the average CJ registered?
maggiemae
24-02-2006, 02:01 PM
Joanne - in my experience it usually starts off about £2 - £3 at the start then up to about £5 - £6 near the end of the circle as the journal gets heavier.
I did receive one that cost £6+ on first posting once
joanne
24-02-2006, 02:05 PM
Gosh that sounds hectic starting at £6. Do you upload the pages as you go along, I would like to follow how you do with this one, but I won't join in.
Hope that doesn't sound rude! As well as the cost I will unfortunately be in disneyland between 2 of the postings! Which is mostly why I have to closely monitor my budget!
scrapbook fairy
24-02-2006, 02:07 PM
Totally agree with Maggie.........That's about the going rate at the moment......
Although as I said before I had one that cost me nearly £9-00 once, which isn't really fair to everyone else.....That's why I thought it would be better to set a Max a size.
Let us know if you want to join, but we only have 3 spaces left....
Love Angie......xx..... :)

I am very tempted Angie as I said before, but I will pass. I am very interested to see how this goes. To be honest I am too behind with my photos to start with things like CJs. I love the Disney swaps and trading pages but it seems like everyone else is up to date on Disney layouts as there has not been so much interest on the boards recently. I have had to join in with a disney swap on the DIS to keep my obsession alive!
up to date?! eeek! I will still be scrapping Disney pics on my 100th birthday :D
(maybe it's because I spend all my time doing CJs and other swaps instead LOL)
I'll not be uploading my stuff as I go along, as I don't like to spoil the surprise for the owner of each CJ - but will upload everything at the end when my CJ comes home (see other CJs in my gallery for examples)
as for posting - I find it rare for them to go above £4-ish - but maybe I have been lucky! One woman in the circle I'm currently in has used a proper 8x8 postbound scrapbook for hers, so that's pretty heavy and bulky, but even that only cost £3-something (1st class recorded) when I posted it on last week...
hope that helps
Sarah

I didn't think about the suprise element, I can understand that. I would love to see one of these cjs in real life though, just to see what goes into it. What do you use as a base generally?
Flo - Im glad Im not the only one with so many photos - we have around 6500 disney photos!!!!!!!!!! don't think I will be scrapping them all ever
Hi to everyone :D

Crikey Nona, is that a lot of disney trips or was there superglue on your shooting finger?
A few trips and super glue and obsessive photo taking on DH's part;) He once took 80 photos of 1 single rose!!!!! all I can say is thank goodness for digital!!

Hello Girls
Its great to be on board, what will I choose, I just dont know there are so many things I love about Disney.
Hello Maggie, fancy finding you here! I am realy pleased that you are, I admire your work on each CJ that has passed thru my hands. Lovely work and I am so looking forward to our the shopping trip to Michaels :D
Last night there was a quiz at school, there was a round of questions on Disney movies everyone pointed at me  disapointed to only have got 18 out of 20 ;)
Anyone know what there CJ will be about?

Hmm still thinking about my theme - might be something to do with the actual theme parks themselves - has everyone thats signed up been to Disney then or would a park based CJ give anyone any problems.
Dont worry if this doesnt suit - I can think up plenty of other themes so please dont be shy and shout up if this wouldn't suit.
Was thinking along the lines of "Disney's Best Kept Secrets" or something like that.
Hi Karen - yeah look another thread where we can chat about stash shopping in Orlando :D
You have me at a disadvantage as apart from a quick glance at your Rabbie CJ (when it surrepticiously (sp???) changed hands at the SECC last october - and very fine it looked too ) I havent seen any more of your work - think yours will be the second last journal I get in my Scottish Scrappers group
Hello to Ann my team mate as well - hadnt realised you were a Disney nut too Ann :D

Hello to Ann my team mate as well - hadnt realised you were a Disney nut too Ann :D
Hi Maggie, **WAVES MADLY** saw yoiu mention this on the team thread and shot straight over to see if there was room left. I have been to Anaheim twice, Florida once and Paris once, we have just about every disney film going although I have to admit that now DS is 16 I watch them farless, although the littlies I look after still enjhoy watching them, especially Snow White. I am trying not to get too excited and pick a theme yet as I don't know if I'm in or not, but I think it may be somthing to do with the Disney Parades, or Winnie the Pooh, possibly the latter, it's my favourite, I have a HUGE Pooh bear in a chair in my bedroom..

Hi Treenie - hmm yeah I hadnt thought of that, suppose that's true.
Do you know I've never seen Eeyore yet at a park - he must be busy napping somewhere all the time :D
We did when I went with my friend a few years back. But I lost my best photo of him because I managed to format my camera by accident and deleted all the pictures
Eeyore can usually be found nowadays in the England part of Epcot...and at the Crystal Palace character meals, I don't think you'll find him many other places.
(PS I'm not really that fat, honest - it's a baggy t shirt!!!)
Donald Duck is the most elusive character - we couldn't find him anywhere (and we didn't do Animal Kingdom this year so couldn't do his breakfastasaurus :()
Sarah
**edited to add - noooooooooo about your pics Treenie :( :( I hate it when that happens!**
mum2a16yrold
24-02-2006, 11:27 PM
I lost every single one of my Florida photo's, owing to DH formatting the memory card and resetting the numbers, when we put the new pictures onto the computer, it overwrote all the Forida pics, thing was all the thumbnails were still there for ages and we didn't realise until about 18months later when I wanted to start printing them.
maggiemae
24-02-2006, 11:34 PM
That would be the "UK" part of EPCOT I take it :P (she says Scottish pride bristling ;) )
Great photo
 Must remember that excuse about the T-shirt - nice one ;)
We met Donald at Chef Mickey's - it was at the end of the evening and no-one else was around really so the kids had a great laugh with him as you can see :D
oh and in the last photo I'm not really that fat its just the t-shirt - honest  (just teasing Sarah ;) )
maggiemae
24-02-2006, 11:35 PM
Oh Anne that's dreadful you must have been so upset - wouldnt want to be in DH's shoes thats for sure :nono:
oh god - how awful!
I have also lost all my pics from my first 9 trips :(
When I left my ex it was in a bit of a hurry (he wasn't a very nice man....nuff said) and so I did not get a chance to back up any digital pics from the camera, or take copies of all the albums of film pics.
So I only have one pic of my two eldest boys with Mickey when they were younger - and that is naff quality as it is scanned from a little wallet sized pic that I had in my wallet (obviously!)
:(
So of course when I went back there last October - my first time since the divorce - I took about 60 billion photos!
It'll still never make up for for all the hundreds (probably thousands) that I have lost though
boo hoo
we're all going to get really depressed now aren't we!
Sarah
so jealous of Donald at Chef Mickeys! he wasn't there when we went - we had Goofy, Chip and Dale, Mickey and Minnie, and Pluto too I think.
sorry - UK part of Epcot! (in my defence it's ages since I've been there, and all I can remember about it is the Rose and Crown pub :) - this last trip we only did Norway and Mexico as the kids couldn't be bothered with any of the countries that didn't have rides!)
and really - that t-shirt is REALLY baggy!! and I was leaning over :D

you can maybe even get them burned to CD while you are still there? many holiday destinations have this service now. I did that in the US this time, and posted the CDs home, just in case!

I was going to do that too - but the queue at Walmart was too long and I decided to risk it - I did make sure that I got my favourites printed off (narrowed it down to approx 250 photos) as soon as I got home though

I've not been to a park yet BUT we are off to DLP in June, so depending on where we end up realative to each other I'll either have been by the time I do your journal or you'll get an entry in anticipation
Hi girls
My worry is loosing pics but DH always takes laptop to store them on at the end of everyday - Memory cards just are big enought for his shutter button happy finger!
Some cool themes coming out there.
I've seen Eeyore loads in DLRP he's always out and about. Im sure we saw him in Florida too but can't remeber where. He was very funny in the Not so scary halloween parade dressed as a Bee:lol:
Yes Donald is very rarely seen and I don't know why:( he is in the disney cinema parade in disney studios DLRP but never walking around except at christmas when he appeared once outside the castle:)
Must stop this disney chatter and get into town before we have more snow;)
Just told DH I HAVE to go back to florida. All this chatter is bringing back memories of all the bits we missed:( (went just after hurricane in sept/oct 04 and humity entire time was 100% just to humid for me:()

We didn't take pic with a camera the last two trip only used the video 9 I am sure a clever person who be able to take photos of the video!)
And this year I have a fabby new digi camera so there wil be no stopping me, especially as a scrapbooker with a camera is far more dangerouse than a non scrapbooker IYKWIM
Want to do the disney meals this year, been asking Maggie about theis too, but I have 2 teens who only want the other parks with the rides and 2 wee ones who have not seen much of Disney yet. DD age 3 has never been, that how long its taken to get another holiday booked!
Treenie ~ Maybe you'll get there one day. We love Paris so much we are shareholders:D We try and go at least once a year but generally twice if we aren't going anywhere else. I'm lucky in a sense - No children so a little cheaper and esier to save for us;)
Mrs Mac ~ when are you going?
Mrs Mac
25-02-2006, 03:10 PM
Fi, I am off on 11th October for 15 days and we are taking the new "cheap flyglobespan" flight, I hope its ok and not too "cheap".
There was to be 15 of us going, but after changing plans to suit others they then deside that IF they go They want to go in the summer!
Waited untill I had booked, why did they not say sooner! Now I dont care, they are all good friend but there were also neg. points about us all going together.(10 kids)
I dont care who goes, as long as I get!

might get my thinking cap on today, all my plans for today have gone to pot, started because when I got up this morning it was a snow blizzard and not too much snow on the ground but no school bus, no school, kids at home, arrived at work as I have a class today and they phone to day most could nto make it!
so today I will do my own crafting, once I thaw out my fingers
what are you all busy at?

I've finished my front and back cover and ordered some embellishments to put on my page. I bought some winnie the pooh transfers in the sale in WHSmiths and they come with two pictures to put the transfers on so I've used them as my cover for my book.

WORK.....Perish the thought........LOL.........Only joking....No, I'm a SAHM, for now anyway.....
I'm just in a bad routine of sleeping..........I ended up going to bed at about 4am in the end.....Way past bed time even for me.
So tonight I'm gonna watch Desperate Housewives and have an early night, at last.
Can't beleive it's the 1st of March already, only seems like a few weeks ago we had Christmas....It's passing by much too quickly.....
Thanks for the details Flo and Co, just waiting for Noodle now.....Come on Noodle Doodle.........LOL......
Love Angie....xx......
Treenie................Challenge?
I'm a night owl too - most nights I have an hour or so when I put my youngest up to bed - then I get back up about 9:30 and tend to stay up until 2 - 3 ish most nights. It's the only way I can get anything done, as I'm at work all day and running around after the kids all evening. My other half gets in at 10:00ish - I get his grub and chat to him for an hour or so - then 11pm onwards is my creative time :)
it works for me
as for the CJ - I haven't even thought about starting yet! I've another to get ready for a different circle first. But don't worry, I'm very deadline driven so I'll be ready in time

Evening girls
Whats eveyone up to tonight, have you started your CJ?
I will wait a few days as there are Disney supplies on there way:D
nope - not started yet - I have another CJ due to start on Monday (6th) - so I'd better do that one first!!
see - I told you I was a night owl.....and I have to get up for work at 8am - eeeek!
Flo ~ Hope you got some sleep before going to work;)
did front and back cover and inside covers last weekend. Hope to get the rest done over the weekend. Problem is Im not sure I want to send it as it looks nice on my desk:lol:
Do we know what everyone's theme is yet? I just want to get planning to ensure I have the right supplies (know I need some eeyore & hundred acre wood themed bits).
how's everyone else doing?
yup - but I was up again at 7:30 - yawn!
early night tonight I think :)

I am having problems deciding how to decorate my CJ. I can't find exactly what I am after. ;)
like the avatar :)
I ought to dig out my old Disney Crazy avatar - even though I've been told that my stary eyes in it frightened small children!
Nona - my theme is 'Disney Magic'
I agree it would be nice to see a list of all the themes together - could our hostess possibly edit one into the first post?

Good morning from a very snowy Scotland.
Still thinking about what to choose.
Its going to be Disney........fav video.
That comes from my days as boss of a few video stores, and I loved the Disney films, we had them on all the time in the background.
The only one I never "puchased" ( a perk of the job ) was Alice in Wonderland and Bednobs, never did take a liking to those.
Since then 20years ago, the new type films have never been the same, yes they are great but they are done by computers and its just not the same as the old originals IYKWIM
So thats my choice,
Your Fav Disney Video:D
Kat the Cobbler
03-03-2006, 03:37 PM
I love bedknobs and broomsticks.
Are we allowed to include the pixar ones as well because some people are very touchy about those. The way I see it they're disney movies so I don't really care.
I've completed my CJ. I've set my challenge for it as well. I'm all excited now.

Hi Girls,
Will update the thread over the weekend with all our themes.......
Having a manic Friday so can't do it tonight.........Meeting myself coming back......LOL.
Love Angie...xx......:)
I love the Pixar movies....but don't worry, my all time 2 fave Disney movies are "proper" cartoons - so as long as nobody else does them before the CJ gets to me you'll be ok....

I am covering mine in fabric, but I have ordered it from the states so I have to wait for it to get here. It will be 6 x 6 square though so I will get cutting out the mount board for both my CJ's. :)

I love the look (and feel) of fabric covered CJ's. I was considering doing that for the mum of girls one I'm in. But how do you stop the fabric fraying around the holes?
mum2a16yrold
03-03-2006, 06:36 PM
PVA the underside of the fabric, let it dry and then punch the holes. :) I've never had a problem.
Now look who's backed out of my Sci Fi CJ because they are too busy! You can't escape me you know:P

Hi KAte,
I have PM'd Lily 3 times but I know she's really busy at the moment.
I know another host of a different CJ has a B group and she didn't mind as long as it was kept running ok..........So ...........
Let's go for the B group.............
I will be taking you name off of the A group as you have kindly voluntered to run the B group for me, and replacing it with Bridget....
I also have 2 spaces on the B group that have already been filled with people that didn't get into the A..............So on that note we have 7 free spaces going, so if you know anyone that is interested please let me know.
But people have to be committed to send on CJ's...........It's fine if you're running late, but please let me know.....Unfortunatley like I said in previous pages I have had CJ's not returned and it's upsetting, so I don't want any of you to have that worry and upset.
I will be doing the address swaps tonight and tomorrow so we should (in A Group) have them in the next 24hours.
And once I have all B group[ will swap addy's for them.
Have fun!
Love Angie.xx.....:)

Well, I am getting worried now. My fabric hasn't come from the states yet for my cover, so I may have to re-think the whole cover thing.
:( what a pain :( it's stressy having to come up with a new plan at short notice....
I sorted my cover last night, now I just have to do everything else (intro, sign in, my layout)
having to resist the temptation to throw all my Disney stash at it as I'll need it for my layouts in everybody else's books (not to mention my Florida holiday album which is still nowhere near finished, which is what I bought all the stash for in the first place!)

I am really really sorry - but my CJ will be a day or so late I think. I was right ob track then got a message on Saturday that Ofsted are in on Wednesday and everything apart form school work has had to go on hold.
I am absolutely terrified of Ofsted - I had an awful experience years ago when my school failed (it was all the fault of our rotton head now happily on list 99 and banned from schools) - and even thinking about Wednesday has me on hte edge of tears.
I have never been late with a CJ before :( :( :( I've done the covers, intro and sign in - it's just my ebtry I have to do - It will be finished as soon as I can

I like the pink button the best. My mum was sorting out her old sewing stuff when i was doing it so i nicked it from her.
I haven't had one yet :( though I received two yesterday (my team one which is now finished, and the purple rain one).
Kat - Angie said she would not be posting to you until tomorrow morning...
Angie - have you received my CJ yet? It is showing as "delivered" on the Royal Mail website, so I hope so!

Happy to admit I "borrowed"the idea from Elfin and Madcarole on 2 others CJs I was in. Thats what I love about CJs though - seeing all the clever ideas other people think up (and then stealing them :D !!!!)
The last CJ I was in also had a paper bag book for one of the journals - I had never seen one "in the flesh" before (and to be honest had always thought they were a rather odd invention)
But I had to admit it was super super cute - and ideally suited to being a circle journal as the sign in tags went in the little pockets between pages, therefore they were right there next to their entries - neat.
I still haven't been brave enough to attempt to make one myself though
Sarah
made my book. jusy ,y page to do. whats happening with book 2?
Karen ~ Glad it reached you safely and that you like it:D
Ann ~ Wow  the CJ I picked it up this afternoon:D Need to think v. carefully about my LO now - WHich film? I love them all.

Just popped on to let you know, I am in the middle of a domestic crisis, my DS (16) walked out last night and hasn't come home, I am a bit frantic, so will post it on the school run this afternoon. Apologies again.

Big hug to you Ann, teens are hard work!
Some one once said "mother of teenagers undestand why wild animals eat their young"
Hope hes OK and just being a stroppy teen.
Gemma, I have done Fionas CJ, and as I am away for easter and before and after that I have to move a business as very short notice, I would like to send it to you along with the missing return to sender tag from my own one before it goes any further, let me know if this is OK with you.

DS eventually turned up at 6.30 this evening, but he won't tell me where he has been. ;)

I hope you get it sorted.

No he didn't and he is doing his GCSE's this year, that is the problem that started all this he keeps skipping school and it is frustrating because he is a really bright kid, he just can't be bothered. ;) Going to see his head of year tomorrow, so hopefully may find out more then.
tell me about it! I got dragged in to see the dep head yesterday for similar reasons. Mine isn't skipping school thankfully, but he is putting zero effort into his GCSEs, he flunked all his mocks and his coursework was all either not done or late and very half hearted.
he'd just rather go out with his mates everynight! To be honest I barely see him as he goes out before I get home from work, and doesn't come in until 11-ish most nights (a lot later at weekends), and is straight up the stairs.
the only good thing with mine is that he has done well on the two bits of real exams he has done so far (they have already taken part of their Science GCSE and part of Geography, and he got an A in both) - so I know that he CAN knuckle down at the last minute when he needs to and do last minute cramming.
His coursework will bring his grades down though, and I don't think his last minute cramming technique will work so well when he has a fortnight stuffed full of exams instead of one part paper totally on its own....

Hi Girlies!
Thank Goodness it's Friday..........LOL.....
I have had a really stressful week, to say the least...
I ordered my paper (Tuesday) with a sponser that normally sends out next day and I still haven't received it.... ......I rang up today (4-45pm) and they said that they were just sending it today and I should have it on Monday as the last post had already gone..............I could scream.........
I have always got my things the next day from there.
I went to the local craft store and they didn't have any, so I really want to stamp my feet and shout very very loudly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!arghhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Enough about me...........
Ann, so glad that DS is home and safe............They are such a worry at that age.........My DS is nearly 20 and a little darling, but DD I certainly know that I have her...............Bless her little cotton socks.....LOL......
Kat, I am sorry for the delay but as soon as I get the paper I will do it straight away and get it off in the post for you.
Hope everyone is having fun!
Have a great weekend!
Love Angie....xx..........:)

Just "popped" on to the computer to track down some pictures for Treenies CJ - will probably end up on here all night now :D
Ruth - your little green light is out - hope that means you are getting on with your letter. That's quite a big step going back to full time.
