This swap is for anyone who'd like to get a collection of buttons. Each member should buy 100 buttons in there chosen colour (i.e. blue) and split them into 10 bags of 10.

Let me know what you're buying so I can update the list and ensure we keep everyone different! Label them with your UKScrappers name and your group number, and then send them to me. I'll do the rest (although it would be really helpful if you could include a label with your name and address!).

I'll do 4 groups of 10, if there's enough demand and that way I can split up any duplicate themes.

Wow - I can't believe how fast it has filled up!
I only went off to have some dinner and nearly missed it altogether. Good job I have Mum to watch the Boards for me lol - she was straight on the phone to tell me.
I might let her have a night off from swop-hunting now that I am in three swops :lol:

I can't believe how quickly this has filled, only found out it had got approval at 4.30 this evening, and its almost full. Do feel like I have not moved off the PC all night though, DH came in asking what was for tea, promptly shoved a £20 note at him and said chippy and he was to collect as well as order :lol: he's not a happy bunny, oh well, who cares, I'm happy and thats all that counts.

Hi a quick question, im not sure if it has been asked lol :) can the buttons be any shape as long as they are your chosen colour? and any shade of that colour and does it matter if there is a mix of sizes in each bag?

Hiya Katy - mine will be all the same colour but different sizes which it said earlier in the thread was allowed so I am sure that's fine :)

I wondered - how many stamps should we include with our buttons for return postage?

Yep, any size, shape, shade of colour, so long as they are the colour you choice, can be a mix in each bag. hope this helps.

might be best to not seal envelope till PO have weighted it,then you can stick the right amount on for return as your return will weigh roughly the same.

That's true Roz - I'll wait and see what it weighs when the jiffy bag is full of my original buttons.

Lol it is addictive isn't it. I hosted a ribbon swop last year and it was great fun. E1 was brilliant and sent their ribbons in super quick and they were all lovely
I do remember sitting in my living room though, looking at 30 jiffy bags full of ribbons and not daring to empty any of them in case I got them all mixed up and could never figure out who should get what :lol: It was fine though

I'm so glad to have got onto a button swop as I don't have many and I love using them on LOs

Expressed a desire to join in yesterday, but couldn't say what colour until after I hit the shops at lunch today -- but as over half the places were free I thought I'd be OK.

Hi Roz shoebox and I sent our buttons to you yesterday so they should arrive with you soon.

For anyone else wondering about postage - it came to 64p on one set of buttons and 46p on the other to send so we both put 64p worth of stamps in each parcel to cover the return journey.
I just thought it would be helpful to know what the maximum cost for 100 button might be for people who can't have their parcels weighed at the PO

Sorry Roz I've got a poorly child at the moment and haven't been able to get to the PO. I sent DH with it yesterday and I'm not too sure he understood what he was to do with putting stamps in the parcel:unsure: He gave me a funny look like this was another one of these daft things I was doing and left while I was explaining it again, so if there isn't enough postage in it let me know and I'll send you some stamps.

I was all excited waiting for the postie...I saw him walking up the path...I ran to the door and excitedly opened it and he handed me a pile of parcels/letters...i threw each one to the ground as I frantically searched for my buttons package....then i was left holding nothing :( :blink:

Just as happy to take 'pot luck' with a lucky dip type of thing, and have a 2nd of any of the bags if it comes to it.... not fussed really.

Only problem is I'm pretty certain I only put on the postage for the current rates, and the prices go up next Monday :unsure:

Sorry - just realised that I never let you know that my buttons arrived safely :( . I was away in Peru at the time and they were here waiting for me when I got back. However I was then ill for over a week and it was Easter .... anyway, the "long and the short" is that I forgot - but found them on my mantelpiece last night which reminded me.

Sorry everybody! And thank you all for the lovely buttons .... just need to think of some good ways to use them now!
