Wow! I came across this US kit from another forum and the Feb contents were looking so delicious that I just couldn't resist!
There are 2 different kits offered, a Duet which you get 2 different brands of papers and a Medley where you get 4 different brands of papers. Really difficult to choose between the two as both kits have a lot to offer. On top of that, every month there is a custom made stamp too and several add-ons.
Just received my first kit and am totally pleased with it.

Woohoo my missing chip chatter letters arrived this morning (they are gorgeous which sadly means I can never actually use them of course :D ) along with an extra sheet of KI Memories alpha stickers and couple of other little bits & pieces to say sorry for the inconvenience.

Very happy - its reassuring to know if there are any problems they will be sorted out quickly and in a friendly manner. Big thumbs up :D

I did the 3 month prepay so am ok until June, personally I prefer the duet to the medley as I find it less overwhelming when it gets here. I must say I am extremly impressed withh this kit though.

Sorry Linda thats not much help really is it? I think you would like it whatever option you chose. you do have the option to email and ask to have the duet if you normally get the medley (or vice versa) but you have to wait to see if there are any available after the autoship one shave gone out.

Can see it heading for another sell out. Those Boho Chic papers are gorgeous!!!

As for which set, depends on whether you want get more papers from the same brand (6 sheets of 2 different brands as in Duet) or dun mind trying 3 sheets of 4 different brands (as in Medley) You won't get full set of embellishments but rather you get a chance to try out different embellishments. She even packs the individual kits up separately so you can easily take to a crop and just work on it!

I had the Feb duet kit and switched to medley in March to try and luv it! If you do like the papers in either kits, she does sell the paper set as an add on!

Linda, if you are intending to get the kit, go for the autoship then you will be guaranteed a kit each month. The Medley is very popular and May's one was sold out even before the end of April. You are not tied in by autoship and you can skip or even end it by emailing Paula. June's medley is gonna be a smasher and I reckon it will sell out before the end of this month!!!

OOOh I am so wishing I had not seen this thread. The papers for May are gorgeous and I love the ones for June too.

Duet or Medley though and what are the embellies like - is it large packets of the same things or mixes of different things to try?

I must admit after the last US kit I had turned into a bit of a fiasco I said never again (they put $100 as the kit value on the customs form so I got charged £20 tax even though the kit was $30ish - not this kit a different one and it took 3 weeks to get here) but if the customer support is good then that could persuade me :D

Emma, Paula doesn't overstate the value of the contents in the kit, in fact she knows that we get charge over a certain value and tries her best to prevent that from happening! Delivery takes 5 days! Her customer service is great too!

Duet, you get 6 sheets of 2 brands and 8 cardstock plus full embellishments.
Medley, you get 3 sheets of 4 different brands and 8 cardstocks too. The kits are individually packed. Embellishment isn't the full set and each kit has some bits and bobs in it... think of it as a mini kit, you get 4 in 1 set!

If you're interested, tell Paula I sent you. She tries her best to accomodate UK subscribers!

EJ - I know which disaster Kit you mean, that month I think I was the nly one who had her Kit with the correct value and I escaped customs. That was the last month I went for that one and have been on the look out for another one ever since. This one here looks really great doesn't it?

Hi Kimmy - yes it was definitely the same one as you had. Lol that was my first and last month with them (I think it worked out that it had cost me over £50 by the time I paid all the tax on top and I've been on the look out for a good kit ever since). This one look fab - really gorgeous papers, embellies and add ons and really good customer service too :)

Look out for her pre-order section.... the other time she had the crop-a-dile on pre-order. Also check the add-ons and stamps too... You can also order just the papers from Duet if you want! I'll probably gonna do that for the WRMK papers!
What I like is her delivery... smack 5-6 days from the moment she send you an email to inform you! And so far no custom charges!

Heloooo......Have been stalking this thread since emma Jane lead me astray to look at this kit (she is a naughty girl!!)LOL, and today have given in and prepaid for the next three months.....I am sooo excited, it is a little 'moving house, moving continents' pressie to myself to help me deal with the fact that most of my stash has gone in a shipment to the states and i wont see it for months (boo!).....
So, can I join in please??? I am going for the medley and have gone for the stamps as well. As I will be in the states by the time the june one ships, I might get the kit a few days before you, but I promise not to be mean and tell you!!!

Becs - I didn't understand the embossing gun. What sort of embossing does it do - is it like my heat it up tool or is it dry embossing? I've never seen one before

Same as a heat it up, just smaller, cordless and apparently it is HOT without blowing too hard, so the powders dont blow away. I am getting it simply cause I have sold mine as it wont work there and I think cordless will be a good idea!
Please do tell about the papers for July! Must get signed up and involved on that site! (maybe when i find two spare min!!) LOL

The cordless heat gun uses butane which Paula can't ship overseas so don't be disappointed if you can't use it straightaway. You will have to try and get the butane here in the UK.

Well, you are lucky then. I wanted to get one and then was told they couldn't ship with the butane! :( Checked with the company that produced it and they don't have a distributor in the UK! Bummer! Looks like I'm stuck with an electric one for a while!

So glad you found this thread Becks and Emma-Jane. I signed up for this kit last month, bought the April kit as a kind of tester (had the duet). Loved the kit and promptly signed up for the Autoship (went for medley as you get a little bit of everything). Received the May kit at the beginning of this week and it really is fab. I love the way that paula packages it up as 4 separate kits and have got some bits that I probably wouldn't have bought a whole pack of but good for trying out.

I think that you will love this kit :-)

Well, I hesitated at the alpha letters as I've had a similar one on another collection and to date there's are tons left so just couldn't justify another box of alpha.... let me tell you ... you can't finish using it all!!! They are great! They are all gone now... probably thanks to you Brit gals!!! :)

I was good and went for the Boho papers and maya road tins as I need them for teachers' gift. I tend to use papers a fair bit rather than embellishments!

Currently about $15ish. The stamps aren't heavy so won't make much difference and you can buy them separately but be fast! They do sell out quick! Check out next month's stamp... delicious! Regarding shipping with add ons, depends on what add ons you get, whether they are heavy item or not. Most of the time I buy add ons (extra papers usually) and shipping is always around $15-17.

I got some extra Medley papers but no alphabets as my add ons this month (there are 2 in the Medley kit already so that should be enough). I was tempted to get more but I can't now as they're all sold out :lol: I bet the old subscribers are going to get fed up with us UK girls getting up at the crack of dawn to nab all the add ons :lol:

BIG plea for help!!!!!

I was using the very nice turquoise arctic frog rub ons from the last kit, but am short of one letter!! Of course, it's an e ($^$^^$)"£!"£(%_$^ Tenerife, too many vowels!!). Would anyone be able to spare one? I could send stash in return!!

I got mine too. I have planned a LO and cut all the bits from the Simply Neat papers to finish at a crop on Saturday (lol I am being organised this time) I love those ones the best I think and the stamps were great as well (the flower ones). I must admit I'm not so keen on the jumbo embellies but they seem to be popular with e1 else so it must just be me

I missed out on the info about the solo kit. Is it replacing the duet?

No Mole - you're right. Its called The Solo Kit (it used to be called The Duet but Paula changed its name and its contents from Sept onwards. The Medley is 4 mini kits. the Solo is one larger kit with lots more of the embellies)

I get the Medley but would be interested to hear what people think of the Solo when it starts

The Medley add on papers are gone already :o so I just got some chipboard letters instead

The papers look nice for this month.

Did e1 read that the Medley will change to 3 kits with more embellies in each from October (I quite liked the idea as I never get through 4 mini kits a month) but I wasn't so sure about the papers included (Junkitz Halloween).

According to Paula, the Medley will be 3 kits from Oct onwards with more papers and embellishment. I agree that I too hardly use all 4 kits at one go and still have a few lingering around. Let's see how the new style kits go!

Good evening and thank you all for contributing to this thread. I have searched long and far for a kit that was for me and I only stumbled on this yesterday. Luckily, I was still pondering whether to join a UK Scrapbook kit club or U.S. I too have ordered the Deut kit and I am on the waitlist for the stamps. Hopefully someone will not want their stamp kit, but what's the chance of that happening.
P.S My OH is also happy - housework and motherhood can resume again - well that's if I can get off this forum - yipee.

Hi Diane

The answer is yes (and a lot!) but never on this kit. Paula is fab and makes sure that she puts the wholesale value on the box if you have added add-ons and it has gone over the £32 limit but as the kit is less that $32 customs shouldn't be charged :)

Belindy - It might depend on the exchange rate - I have always believed it to be £18 or around $32. Either way the kit total falls below the customs value so as long as you don't go super mad with add-ons it will be fine. In fact I emailed Paula about this on the day I signe dup after being seriously stung on another US kit (I'm talking £20 including a £4 handling charge as the silly woman over-insured it) and she said that's why she works to the value she does.

Hysteri-cal - The solo is very popular with some and the Medley with others. From October the Medley will change to be 3 kits instead of 4 but with more embellies in each. For me that is perfect but other people prefer the Solo as you get more papers from the same range plus embellies. They are worth the same and cost the same though so it depends on if you want a "bitty" mixed kit or a bigger totally matching kit.
I think both are very good value and Paula's customer service is fab

Whooo hoooo! Got my solo kit yesterday - nice postman had left the parcel on the doorstep and covered it up with a plastic box to protect it from the elements and prying eyes. It's a lovely kit with fab autumnal colours. I can't wait to play with it!

Not sure if you'll get this month's or next, but they are usually sent on the 15th and take about 5/6 days to get here. Paula is very helpful and sends you an email when the kits go out!

Kahlan - they are definitely slower (well some of them at least) this month than they are normally. Mine came just after lunchtime today but 8 days is definitely the longest I've had to wait so far.

Nope .. but I've contacted Paula and it seems that the first parcel wasn't sent out so she resent me another one on the 25th, so hoping I will get that next week :) It's the first time I have ever had a problem with this kit .. but Paula has been fantastic about it...and I'm chuffed that I didn't miss out!!

I ordered some goodies from the sale too (oops!)... and she sent an email asking if wanted 2 parcels - works out about same for postage, but hopefully wont attract a customs charge the same as if was 1 big box... how thoughtful is that?!? obviously went for 2 parcels... now fingers crossed that customs dont look at it!
