I have made some ATCS, collage stlye, paper stuck on to card with PVA, and then PVA over the top, also yesterday used decoupage gloss glue. Both have the same effect ie,
1. visible brush marks (although I used a foam applicator for 1 lot)
2. curling of cards. I left them under a stack of books but they are still not as flat as I would like.
has anyone else had these problems?
Does anyone have a solution?
TIA

I guess that you are glossing them to prevent damage. Well I have only made a couple, really like them. I use card protectors. My son is mad trading card fanatic. He purchases perfect sized sleeves in a pack of 100 for apporximately a £1.00. They are acid free as they are used to protect cards such as pokemon, magic the gathering etc. I dunno if the sponsors do them, but PM if you want some and we can sort it out. HTH

I got the same problem with PVA, have used Modge Podge a few times and not quite so bad. I know some recommend Gel Medium but I haven't managed to get hold of it yet - would be interested to know if anyone who uses that doesn't get the same kind of problems. I bought a big soft brush which I think did away with the brushmarks though - they were a lot more obvious when I was using a normal acrylics brush.

I went to buy gel medium from an art shop but there were so many types of artists mediums/ gel mediums that I ended up buyng the decoupage glue instead
