February Week 3 challenge-Pants at PE team

We figured you’d be all Valentine’d out by now so are looking to the future by a couple of weeks to Pancake Day and Ash Wednesday.
According to our research, Shrove Tuesday is the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday which is the first day of Lent. It's a day of penitence, to clean the soul, and a day of celebration as the last chance to feast before Lent begins.

So we have turned this into the following LO:

Theme: Sweet and sour, to represent the lemon and sugar traditionally put on pancakes. The sweet and sour in this instance is not from your local takeaway (!) but is a photo(s) of someone who is usually sweet/cute/good doing something naughty/mischievous – or vice versa if you prefer!

or photos of someone cooking pancakes or taking part in a pancake race.
Either theme will earn you 10 points

Use circles – to represent the pancakes 5 points

Use heat in some way to represent the cooking of the
pancakes, eg UTEE, embossing,
shrink plastic, Fimo, etc 5 points

Use scraps to represent using the last of your food
before fasting 5 points

Use our LO sketch for no particular reason other than
we want you to! 5 points

or photos of someone cooking pancakes or taking part in a pancake race.

It's great to see how you are all interpreting the sketch and coming up with such different looks. It's the first time I've used someone else's sketch cos I could never quite see the point, but I think I'm finally starting to "get" it now :)

i also have to say that it isn't quite finished - one pancake - you'll see - is incomplete. but on our team thread it's all i've talked about this afternoon. they had no idea what i've been doing when i asked them for photos!! and so i wanted to upload it as soon as i could!! i will finish it when i get my last piccie.

I did my version of the challenge - not complete this week I am afraid.
I did manage sweet being sour - Fiki of course - circles, scraps and heat (Heat only by default as I was in too much of a hurry to let the stickles dry naturally so I zizzed them as I always do!)

Just wish I could get Basic Grey to scan better, I always end up making it look too bright, too dark or muddy looking.

Thanks, I really fancied doing a layout today but couldn't think where to start!

All the points, albeit some are a little bit tenuous (Chiara looks like an angel but can be demonic rather more times than I would like!) and the circles are in the spotty paper and brads!
